Just the The short version, but with a programming comment:

All scheduled episodes for this week have arrived.

Now, the comment–actually the first of three, but since they’re only semi-relevant, I 'll do them one at a time, to not waste too much space all at once: So,

A Note to the AN Programming Department: Why show us the Utawarerumono OVA when you haven’t shown us Utawarerumono? For that matter, it doesn’t make sense to show us Utawarerumono II before you showed us Utawarerumono–but at least Utawarerumono II was mostly self-contained. Couldn’t you have swung the rights to run the original series? Even if you did show the original series long ago, before I got here, it wouldn’t have killed you to show it again to set up the sequel. After all, this is the second time through Arcana Famigilia and Mysterious Girlfriend X, and the third time through Tsuritama and Nyan Koi in the last few years. I like coming in in medias res as much as the next guy–actually, probably a lot more than the next guy–but this still seems not to give proper thought to your viewers’ experience. Plus, it’s a chance to sell more DVDs…

'Nuff said.

Yeah I’m a little late…
A long evening shift followed by an early (for me) noon meeting followed by a 8 hour shift…

On another note, something I found out today at the meeting is Mcds is starting table service for the entire USA. Kinda strange huh? :joy:

No change to report. The following 17 episodes are still missing from Frontier. My concern is most of these shows will be missing for 3 weeks tomorrow (Thursday) based on the normal 4 week rotation meaning they will be available for only about a week. Are there any updates on working with Frontier on reloading these episodes?

  1. After finally getting to start To Love Ru Darkness, I noticed it is the censored version. Now this isn’t a problem on my end since I have all 4 seasons on Blu Ray, however just curious if this is a mistake, seeing that both TLR and Motto are uncensored (as well as all other TV-MA shows for that matter.)

  2. My guess about next week has sadly come true. Comcast has no more uploads for the month of May. :sob:

The short version:
again tonight: all scheduled shows received, both on Cutting Edge and On Demand. And just to add insult to injury, here’s the second irrelevant space-wasting programming note…

At the very end of Chivalry of a Failed Knight #6, Ikki is having a conversation with Alice, who warns him that their new friend is likely to betray Ikki, and to beware a trap. According to the subtitles, Ikki replies, “You really see things through, don’t you, Alice?” I.e., that Alice is very conscientious. But what they obviously mean to say is that Alice is very insightful–i.e., “You really do see through everything, don’t you. Alice?”

(Of course, I don’t want to insult Alice by implying he is not conscientious. He is, while I …am not.)
