As of Sunday night, and until Time Warner/Spectrum gets a tech out here (hopefully this Wednesday), it looks like I’m out of the anime-watching/reporting business for the moment (and just as I was settling in to catch up on everything I was behind on over the long weekend. Merde!) So just
The short version, since my heart’s just not in it at the moment…:
Everything I got started up, and what I did and didn’t get seems to match Mistress Slowhand’s list, but as usual my take on
differs, since I maintain that we’ve had AnieLog/Monologue #3 all along–I disentangled and watched it, after all–and now we’ve received the properly scheduled one to boot. I can tell because now Ye Olde Kludge works on Cutting Edge and Ye Newer Kludge works on On Demand
[internal grumblegrumblegrumble–well, worked up until everything on the On Demand side went away, along with all on demand capability on both On Demand and Cutting Edge (everything just comes back with a 4005 error), along with half my channels. Based on past experience, my diagnosis is squirrels gnawing on the exterior cable wire. I hate squirrels sometimes.]
There are now two copies of AnieLog/Monologue #3 showing, with different expiration dates, one which matches when the first copy showed up uninvited, and one which matches the date on all of this week’s other episodes.
And then there were the curious incidents of the two dogs the did not bark in the night. Last time, I wrote
because Chihayafuru III #15.5 was already labelled as "“Chihayafuru Third Season 16” on On Demand and we already had Utano Sama 2000% #2 mislabeled as “03” on Cutting Edge. However, the arrival of the real Chihayafuru III #16 and Utano Sama 2000% #3 did not go as I expected. We simply have two episodes of Utano Sama 2000% labeled “3” on Cutting Edge. one of which plays #2 and one of which plays #3. (I think this teaches me something new about merged episodes, but I think I need to think more about this when I’m in a better mood…)
As for Chihayafuru III #16, there’s also no new merged episode, but I think it’s because the shipping crew sent it with the On Demand side data for Season One’s #21, because that’s how it’s listed on On Demand. (Really different metadata, so no merged episodes.)

(but no 10 or 11) It seems 12 got pushed early for some reason but I have a bad feeling 10-11 might get skipped altogether. It’s happened before. Sadly I forgot about this forum/site last time.

Long time, no write.
Just to let you know that DTV is still glitching/skipping. Have we hit the two-year mark yet - or is it three?
Not as bad as before, maybe 50-60% will skip in any given week, but the number seems to vary. Still no rhyme/reason in terms of which titles will skip on any given week. The tipoff that an episode will skip is still the absence of a TAN intro and/or opening promo. Workaround (at least for me) is to pause just before the point of the skip, then advance frame-by-frame until past the skip point, then resume. There will be 4-7 of these during the course of an episode, so its lather-rinse-repeat. Thanks for listening.
