Plot Summary: Ichigo Kurosaki is a 15-year-old-boy who has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (AKA Shinigami) named Rukia Kuchiki. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and Hollows until from the spirit world come two other Shinigami, who explain that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and that Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the law, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world.

Ep. 111
So it is just getting to the good stuff again.

#4

Remember no Bleach this week.

#5

So now we know Production on Bleach has happened post episode 109, and there was also an Adult Swim bumper about 2 new episodes of Bleach regularly to speed through the upcoming fillers. Good news.

The ending of the bount arc was fairly good in my opinion, given how mediocre the immensely long arc that it was… however the actual final climactic moment was so anticlimactic. The final fight there was underwhelming and rushed.

This recent weekend’s 2 new episodes, I thought were great. The series felt like it was returning to its roots. And 2 huge story twists.

Ichigo’s father being a captain… and Uryu’s father appearing (voiced by Michael McConnohie) awesome!

For the first time in like a year I’m very much looking forward to Bleach again… the question is how long will it last?

#6

I was also really happy to see an end come to the Bount arc. It wasn’t spectacular, but considering the arc as a whole, the ending was decent. I was also happy to see two episodes this past weekend. I’m interested in learning more of Uryuu’s (sp.?) backstory. Too bad there’s no Bleach this week, but I’m looking forward to when it starts going full steam ahead again (fingers crossed!).

#7

Yes yes YESSSSS!

At the end of the eps I was OMG GIVE MEH MOAR!!! Can’t wait for more new eps.

I’ve been wanting to know more about Ichigo’s hollow side for a while now. I think I’ll finally get to find out

#8

Remember… No Bleach this weekend.

GI Joe: Resolute will be shown in its place.

Two episodes at a time? That’s not too bad, considering that the next set of spoilers are worse than the Bount Arc in my opinion (I literally quit watching because it was so boring). Except for the kendo episode, just because that generated nostalgia within the blood of my veins which carry blood, and even then I really didn’t enjoy it that much. If they stick to the main story line after this though, it’s sure to be awesome. It’s just like “ya, we just made a transition from immensely Japanese based plot, into a plot so Mexican you can’t drink the water.”

Either way, the next set of “fillers” is really subjective as to whether or not you like it. Besides the obvious fillers, the plot of the next arc seems to extend upon the manga’s storyline, instead of just delaying it.

That being said, how do you guys like Ichigo’s fajah? I’d been expecting something like that for a long time, though I thought he’d have gotten his powers from his mother. Since we were basically told to assume Ichigo’s father had no spiritual powers at all, and the fact that we were never really exposed to much background on Ichigo’s mother, I basically got them switched. I also want to see more on Ichigo’s sisters.

#10

You know what’s what I keep hearing as well, that it gets bad again. Around which episode # did it start to tank again in your opinion.

Shame to hear that since the first 2 episodes after the Bount Arc start off so promising.

#11

Dragoon The New Arc doesnt start to tank until it’s the Mundo part of the New Arc. So that about 97 episode later on…

Also this is just a little info for you guys. Kubo learn form the Bount Arc, and later on he does two episodes fillers for about every 30 episodes. but most of time you cannot tell them appart.

BLEACH Arrancar Story Arc Debuts With Two New Back-To-Back Episodes To Air Each Week

San Francisco, CA, APRIL 24, 2009 – Viz Media, LLC (Viz Media), one of the entertainment industry’s most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies, brings the latest action-packed English dubbed episodes of BLEACH to Adult Swim. Beginning with episodes 110 and 111 of the Arrancar story arc, Adult Swim premiered two new BLEACH episodes back-to-back on Saturday, April 18th and will continue air two new back-to-back episodes each week. Check local times for availability (http://www.adultswim.com/shows/bleach/index.html).

BLEACH is a popular manga and animated series (both rated ‘T’ for Teens), distributed domestically by Viz Media, that follows the adventures of Ichigo, a 15-year old student with the ability to see ghosts. When his family is attacked by a Hollow — a malevolent lost soul – Ichigo encounters Rukia, a Soul Reaper, and inadvertently absorbs her powers. Now, he’s dedicating his life to protecting the innocent and helping tortured souls find peace.

In the new Arrancar story arc of Bleach, Ichigo meets an unusual new student named Shinji Hirako, who has come to Karakura Town to recruit Ichigo into the Visoreds, a group of ex-Soul Reapers that have crossed over into the realm of the Hollows. Meanwhile, ex-Soul Reaper Captain Sosuke Aizen has sent his vicious mob of Arrancars to the World of the Living. When Ichigo is faced with this new and extremely powerful adversary, it will be up to him to protect everyone!

“BLEACH remains a massively popular series and this is one of the most gripping plot developments yet,” says Bill Germain, Director, Programming Sales, Viz Media. “Fans will be glued to the edge of their seats as Ichigo and Ruika face a wicked new force of tremendous power. Will the Arrancars succeed in their evil plan to topple the Soul Society? Find out in two new episodes each week!”

BLEACH is a tremendously successful multimedia property internationally. The manga has been licensed to more than a dozen countries and has sold over 50 million copies in Japan alone. In North America, the manga has been a sales hit and the popular animated series is viewed weekly by millions in the United States and Canada on cable broadcast. This success has further spawned an array of related video games, apparel, action figures and other merchandise.

BLEACH animation can be viewed through a variety of other web-based, video download and streaming outlets that have partnered with Viz Media, including iTunes®, XBox Live JOOST and HULU. For more information on BLEACH please visit www.bleach.viz.com.

I must respectfully disagree with you ultimate mega man. You say it doesnt tank until the mundo part 97 episodes from now. Uhhh what? If you are talking about the part that starts at that point ok thats your opinon, but that is not the point you describe. The point you describe is alot earlier then that.
As for your filler comment, Kubo doesnt learn nothing, he has nothing to do with the fillers, and for everyones info fillers are roughly eps 130-135, 168-190, 204&205, 213-215. All are horrible, except maybe an episode here and there. As for not telling them apart, ok but that goes more towards Kubo being lazy and uninspired and generally writing sub-par plots and all that since at least chapter 315 if not much earlier.

Back on topic: 2 episodes a week are great, I wonder how long they will keep it up though, at that pace they can only do that for about a year then they will be almost caught up. Well still some good times ahead, ill enjoy it while i can.

We’re back to two new episodes of Bleach tonight!! :woohoo:

And, there’s a new AS Schedule out, and it lists new Bleach episodes through Episode 131.

Pretty good set of episodes, the set up for this new arc is definitely clear now.

I’m enjoying these significantly more than the bount arc… so far. It’s definitely reminiscent of the pre-Soul Society arc. Hopefully this trend continues.

I agree with Dragoon completely. I have a better feeling about the way this filler arc is going, partly because I feel that we will get more involvement from the secondary characters. I was really glad to see that Ichigo’s family is being given a more prominent role. We got glimpses that his sister, Karina, I think, was special, in the episodes before the filler kicked in, but maybe now we will get to see her get in on the action.

#17

HEHE I wish i could tell you but Dragoon would kill me!! But I will say this, The only thing they change from the episodes and manga version. Was where Shinji stuck his finger at. heheh

#18

I lol’d at that part from the recent episodes! I forgot to mention that. Shinji is kind of a paradox… potentially evil and cruel, yet so amusing and funny sometimes.

#19

It is funner in Japanese.

2 New Episodes Tonight!

A little recap of last week!

Episode 112:

[details=spoiler]Ichigo’s father, Isshin, killed the Grand Fisher hollow (you know, the one that killed Ichigo’s mom). Then Isshin talked to Urahara about the ‘visoreds’ (or vizards, whichever) who are broken masked arrancars (soulless soul reapers), they HATE soul reapers. It seems they are preparing for battle.

Souske Aizen made a deal with the arrancar and the plan will be complete in another year or so, and then he’ll lead an army of Menos Grandes.

Shinji showed up at school acting like nothing had happened. He made a move on Orihime, so Ichigo yanked him outside to ‘talk’. Shinji told him that he’d follow him around until he joined his group. Because once the symptoms started, he’ll never be normal again - he’ll lose his sanity.

After school, Shinji met up with Hiyori, another vizard. She beat him up when he didn’t produce Ichigo. When Chad & Orihime showed up, Hiyori wanted to kill them; so Shinji picked her up and flew away - and then calmed her down.

Uyru went to see his father, Ryuken, to tell him that he accepted his offer to restore his Quincy powers and that he wouldn’t associated with Soul Reapers or their allies.[/details]

Episode 113:

[details=spoiler]Ichigo returned from school and didn’t react when his father attacked him. He went to his room. Kon almost told him about his father being a soul reaper, but Lirin reminded him that they weren’t supposed to tell him. Ichigo fell onto his bed, depressed, and asked them to leave him alone. Ichigo started to think about his mask and his inner voice; he heard it talking and taunting him.

Karin came into his room and told him that she knew he was a soul reaper.

In the Soul Society, an alarm went off telling soul reaper guards that two beings were in Karakura Town.

Back in Ichigo’s room, Ichigo pretended that he didn’t know what Karin was talking about. They heard a loud explosion somewhere in Karakura Town. Ichigo had to become a soul reaper in front of his sister.

Back in the Soul Society, a report was given to Captain Yamamoto about two fully developed arrancars in Karakura Town.

There’s a huge hole in a forested section of Karakura Town. A large man climbed out of it, while townspeople slowly came toward it. The large man, Yammy, accused the people of staring at him and began sucking their souls from their bodies. The people’s lifeless bodies fell to the ground.

Chad & Orihime, who were some way away, saw the souls in the sky and rushed forward… they began to see dead bodies.

Yammy and the other arrancar, Ulquiorra, discussed that they were there to kill only one… and that no one can see them, except for those with spiritual powers. The others that were there were only ‘trash’.

Tatsuki, their schoolfriend, was out jogging, and came upon the arrancars, but she wasn’t dead. Yammy was about to finish her off when Chad and Orihime rushed forward. Orihime dragged her off, while Chad blocked Yammy; but Yammy defeated Chad. Orihime goes back to Chad.

Ulquiorra pronounced them all ‘trash’ and Yammy went to kill them all, but Orihime put up a shield, but Yammy broke it. Orihime then healed Chad. She then decided not to try to wait for Ichigo to save them; she’d determined to do something on her own. She ‘rejected’ and Yammy just brushed it off like a fly.

Yammy then asked Ulquiorra if they should maybe take her back to see Aizen; Orihime recognized the name. Ulquiorra said no, “kill her”. Yammy started to reach for her, but he was blocked by Ichigo’s zanpakuto.

Yammy: “Just who the hell are you?”[/details]
