lol My powerās back out. Stayed on from 2pm yesterday until 8am this morning so at least I got to sleep warm.
My brotherās went out yesterday around 10am and finally came back on today at 8amā¦ for 3 minutes. Yes, his power was on for a whopping 3 whole minutesā¦ lolol. Sucks to suck.
Please, everyone in the path of the storm stay safe.
Youāre all in my prayers

One of my co-workers in Texas lost water, could not figure out how when his neighbors were fine. He finally found one pipe in the attic that wasnāt insulated, it was frozen solid. He thawed it out with a pet hair drier ( There is such a thing, heavy duty too. ) and so far no leaks. Heāll get it looked at by a plumber once the weather clears up.

Power came back on at 11 last night. My caregiver hadnāt lost power this whole time until last night at 1:30am. Weāve been fortunate enough to have the power come back on at night so we didnāt have to sleep in the cold. Guarantee you thereās going to have to be a lot of questions answered after this is all over.
NY area is supposed to get another 6-12" tomorrow. My heart really goes out to my Texas friends. I am keeping everyone in my thoughts. Please stay safe!

It was funny, actually. The earthquake hit just before 8 AM. As Iāve been a night owl for awhile, I was dead asleep then. The shaking of my bed, akin to sleeping on a trampoline being hit with one of those massage guns, woke me up. I thought my rabbit, Guinness, was doing something to the bed. Slowly, the realization that it might be an earthquake came to me. I thought, :Well, Iāll find out when I wake up," and fell back to sleep. There was no damage at all in my apartmentānot even anything disturbed by the shaking. If my bed wasnāt an all wood frame with slats supporting the mattress and box spring, I might not have felt the shaking at all.
