So, trying to get the internet hooked up here at the trailer in MS. I live in a rural area, so not really that many providers. Been searching for a couple hours now, calling our cable provider (Dish), checking with family and friends about who they use and what theyâre charged, and the best I can come up with is 20 gigs at 8 MBS for $49.95. Does that sound anywhere near a ballpark average?
That 20 gigs, screams mobile broadband to me.
U-Verse at least gives 1TB (Funny, because I have their TV service, I have unlimited data)
The speed to price seems someone close to U-Verse at least. A little high, but not enough to matter.
We get basic cable & internet thru our HOA 30mbs with Unlimited data, Iâm paying extra for the 100mbs service along with an IP phone and a gaggle of channels we rarely use. Since I and my oldest son work from home and the rest of the family use the internet for streaming ( a lot ) that speed gets used. Cost wise the extra services are $70 a month, the HOA portion is roughly $40, so about a $110 a month.

Thanks yâall, I like Netflix myself versus regular cable seeing as how all I really watch is news and weather. Iâm not even worried about gaming right now, I just want to get back online so I can finish my bachelors degree.

While the XBox One X has some nice Specs, that $499 price tag, not so much, and itâll be interesting to see if the Customized Cooling solution that they came up with has long term viability. Although big plus for 360 and original XBox Backward Compatibility.
I was listening to a Fans React - Microsoft Conference segment on the live E3 coverage and there was quite a bit of disappointment with that. Shouldnât be surprised.
$499 seems too pricey IMO as well. I also wish theyâd kept the âScorpioâ name, calling it an XbOX is gonna cause some issues I fear.
Still, Iâm hyped for this FreeSync feature. So many games on Xbone/360 have issues that a FreeSync display would be a âsilver bulletâ for. IMHO that wouldâve been nice to see on XboneS as well, not that UHD bluray & HDR arenât cool too.
