Anticipation Alert

The Dark Knight Rises

I look foreward to seeing this movie. I want to see Anne Hathaway as catwoman, because I think Michelle Pfeiffer did the best catwoman even though I haven’t seen the ones that can before her. That’s my opinion

Dean Cain Learns about new Superman movie

Batman Vs Superman Will Be Called…
Batman vs Superman finally has an official title.

The film shall henceforth be known as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. That means you can drop the ‘S’ in ‘Vs,’ and add a ‘Dawn of Justice’, which makes sense given that the film will be followed by the as yet untitled Justice League movie. Think Captain America: The First Avenger setting up The Avengers.

The announcement also confirms something that fans have long suspected, that Batman and Superman will be at odds when they first meet. They’ll probably join forces by the end of the film, but until they do, expect to see some awesome superhero on superhero battles.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has already begun shooting, and will hit theatres on May 6, 2016.
UPDATE: Justice League: Throne of Atlantis Will Surface on January 27

They ought to have used the guy from the TV show.

Wha? Does not compute. That’ll be a subversion almost on par with the SLJ being cast as Nick Fury, especially since Momoa’s fame comes from roles that are about as far away from the Superfriends-esque image of Aquaman as is possible.

At this point I’ve lost interest in any of the superhero films, Marvel or DC. Too many reboots, too many re-castings of main characters. Too much wandering away from the core characters into the second or third tier.

Mark Gosdin

I know what you mean. I didn’t even see Guardians of the Galaxy.

Iron Man 2 was a self-contained story. I wonder if Iron Man 3 will be the same way. I guess we’ll find out when more info on Avengers II comes out.

If they were to re-recast The Hulk, I wouldn’t mind.

I’m not sure about this. He’s been pretty lackluster (at best) for a decade now. I guess he’s tolerable as long as he doesn’t bring his wife and/or son into the movie.

lolwut? I know that the original Joker refused to shave his mustache for the role (which is now hilarious thanks to bluray) and that worked but how is he going to hide his Rapunzel-like locks and his more intense facial hair for this?

I can’t see him pulling off the role either.

It’s quite surprising at all to see Will Smith in the SS movie. I wonder if anyone saw that coming.

###Geoff Johns Confirms Teen Titans Show

DC Comics’ Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns has confirmed rumours that a live-action Teen Titans TV series is in the works at TNT.

Writing to fans on Twitter, Johns revealed that the pilot episode for the show will begin shooting next year. He also confirmed that the new version of the teenaged superhero team will be headlined by Nightwing, which means this will be the character’s first time coming to life in live-action. The character’s alter ego Dick Grayson has appeared as Batman’s sidekick Robin in several live-action movies and TV shows, but never as the badass Nightwing version.

The Teen Titans first hit comic shelves in the 1960s, and they’ve also appeared in several animated programs like Teen Titans Go. Expect the live-action show to have a darker tone. Since the pilot goes into production next year, the show should premiere in Fall 2015 if it gets a full series order. There are currently four other shows based on DC Comics properties, with plenty more on the way, so it seems unlikely that TNT wouldn’t be interested in picking it up.

and that worked but how is he going to hide his Rapunzel-like locks and his more intense facial hair for this?
they’ll make him look something close to this version:

now with green facial hair…or not.
I can’t see him pulling off the role either.
same with Jack Nicholson, Mark Hamill, Heath Led…blah, blah, blah…

Personally I didn’t like Heath Ledger’s portrayal as his joker actually seemed uncertain and fearful at times in the movie. Dunno about Nicholson as the Tim Burton movies don’t count lol.

IMO, The Joker should be done like Darth Vader: cast an actor for the looks, maybe another for the action scenes if needed, and get Mark Hamill to do the voice as he is The Joker in my book.

###First Clip for ‘JL: Gods & Monsters’
Jun 25th, 2015

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has unveiled the first official clip from the upcoming DC Universe Original Movie Justice League: Gods & Monsters. The feature-length animated thriller will have its World Premiere on Friday, July 10 at 7 p.m. at Comic-Con in San Diego (Ballroom 20), ahead of its Digital HD launch (July 14) and Blu-ray/DVD release (July 28).

The clip features Superman (voiced by Benjamin Bratt), Wonder Woman (Tamara Taylor) and Batman (Michael C. Brewster and Taylor will be in attendance at the CCI premiere.

Synopsis:

Animation legend Bruce Timm returns to the popular DC Universe Original Movies with his unique new vision of a Justice League you’ve never seen before. “Justice League: Gods & Monsters” features a Superman born of General Zod’s blood, a Batman with a healthy dose of bat in the man, and a Wonder Woman rising from the ranks of the New Gods. This ain’t your daddy’s Justice League. They are as likely the world’s saviors as Earth’s despotic rulers. When a group of famed scientists experience untimely “accidents,” a government task force follows the trail of clues to the Justice League — and into a high stakes game of intrigue, mystery and action that asks the question: How do you serve justice to those above the law? The star-laden voice cast includes Michael C. Hall (Dexter) as Batman, Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order, 24) as Superman, Tamara Taylor (Bones), as Wonder Woman; Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds), as Lois Lane; C. Thomas Howell (E.T., Southland), as Dr. Will Magnus; Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter films, Dig) as Lex Luthor, Richard Chamberlain (Dr. Kildare, The Thorn Birds) as Highfather, and Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica) as Steve Trevor.
