I assumed it was partially at least because of the move they did and everything at some point soon will be going back to being done in Texas .

Out of that roster, the only one I’m intrigued in is Assault Lily.

Nothing…absolutely nothing.

While I love me some Robotech…I’ll wait and see some reviews on video/audio quality et al.
Is it night and day like say Vampire Hunter D or just slight but insignificant?

Why not ALSO give us a Macross re-release?

Did anyone try to release Macross Delta in the West?

Aidunno, while I liked MD, the more Macross I see, the more I can understand the reasoning behind the Robotech adaptation.

Several of these shows I do not even recognize by their title. That Franxx steelbook could have potential though, like the Robotech set I’d probably wait for a review…then again, steelbooks are inexplicably cool so I might just pick it up.

With Black Clover, I liked the show enough, and IMO Funimation seems like they’re putting in some effort for its physical release, but I’d prefer that they did a Sentai and just give us one large release.

No because HG would have slapped a Copyright Violation lawsuit against it. Until the deal between HG and Big West was done none of the other Macross related properties would have had a chance to be brought over. Big West did have English Subs on the Delta BDs they released that was the extent of it

and before you go on about DYRL etc that were brought over, that stopped when HG started enforcing their copyrights

By the way, did funi get their budget cut or something? That’s a pretty Dearthy list of titles compared to previous seasons…

I’m wondering if the get as many as we can approach screwed them these last couple of seasons or if they are just waiting to the last minute . Unless Netflix swooped in and licensed as much as they could to make sure no one else could .

There’s also the chance the licensing costs jumped this season. If that’s the case, then I assume that the effect is the same as cutting the budget.

It’s also possible there’s some bad blood blocking Funi this season…

Hopefully it’s not he Netflix thing whatever is going on.

It’s like the dubbed version of DBZ. People will buy it because it is what they grew up watching.

Could be a couple of things…?

  1. Papa Sony’s directive to put on a “see, we’re not a monopoly” face.
  2. Not enough “return on their investment” from the last 2-3 seasons.
  3. Sony might be going thru the “AT&T…we bit off more than we can chew.”

Or, like previously said up top…waiting at the last minute to “surprise”…no one.
