Crazy this was originally announced back in 2013!
Watching the Netflix trailer, it sounds like JYB is the male lead, and Christina Vee is that green haired girl!

Watching episode 1 right now, and had to pause the episode.
About 10 minutes in, Haruho mentions Akira defeats Vega with Dhalsim and without any continues. For point, he says Vega in the Dub version as well. The character shown being defeated is who we know as M. Bison.
For anyone not in the know, the character known as M. Bison internationally is known as Vega in Japan due to Capcom of America worrying about a copyright claim from Mike Tyson. To prevent this, they switched the names of 3 of the 4 boss characters when porting it overseas.
I’m curious to how many people watching this would get upset at that due to the lack of said information

Episode 2 dub problems.
This time around I found 3 oddities.

The teacher actually says kancho in the dub. Even stranger is the Subtitles say “Kick your butts”. I don’t want to go into detail on what that actually is, but a kancho is easiest described from Naruto as Kakaishi’s attack “1000 years of Death”.

The machine known as the TurboGrafix 16 is known as the PC Engine in Japan. That’s why Akira was picturing a computer with exaust pipes in it.

Haruho says Street Fighter 2 was released in 87, and the arcade would be profitable in 4 years. Street Fighter 2 was released in 91. He meant to say Street Fighter 1 was released in 87 and the arcade would be profitable in 4 years when Street Fighter 2 was released
