I agree. As I’m watching the first episode, before the opening song, I asked to myself the following:
“Why did Mio change her name and quit the light music club?” 
Edit: (since I’m the most recent post…) After watching episode 7, there is a strange discrepancy. In multiple scenes, after receiving the jerseys, their team name and logos appear and disappear from scene to scene.
Now this is probably due to it being a “TV version” broadcast, but it is a little concerning seeing just earlier in the episode they were all so proud of the team jerseys, while the animators neglected to detail them…
