Anime’s staff to attend Journey’s Dawn premiere event in Los Angeles
I’m wondering after looking at how long some of the older sets have stuck around if they are not cutting back on run size of the PBS’s . Have to see how long before the Girls Last Tour PBS and the Princess Principal PBS go to low stock to know for sure .
I would think so, I think the only box set that sold out on it’s initial print run and went at it’s (mostly) regular price was the Monster Musume Box Set
I think Broly spoiled me as I got used to a wide, weeks-long release of anime films from it; Broly was at my local small theater for at least 3 weeks.
I also got used to them being just $5/ticket.
The last Fathom Events anime film I saw was the 2018 Fate film dub…and, speak of the devil, I see Fathom is now hawking tickets for the 2019 Fate film, sub-only, for Thursday March 14th, at $12.50/ticket.
I like supporting these anime films, but they’ve got to be shown for at least a week as “the boys” and I can’t make any of these showings announced so far.
Yeah the thing that irritates me, is some of the events are at my local Cinemark theater, and have Reserved Seating there, the 2nd Fate movie is at a theater only a little bit further away but General Seating, So not happening. If I’m going, I don’t want to have to get there an hour early to get a decent seat.
I’ve been going to Cinemarks exclusively for a while now, I’d forgotten that not all theaters have assigned seats.
That’d definitely be a deal-breaker, especially since the Fate film packed the rather large theater that I saw it in.
I was really hoping with AMC taking over the local theater we’d get some of these anime movies other then Funimation’s ,but so far that’s been it . The other places are a hour plus away and just kind of a pain to travel to .
