So I take it this MiA third movie is an actual sequel and not a compilation. Wonder if it will take place between seasons 1 & 2, or it’s part of the actual season 2, where it’ll be edited into the eventual first episodes of season 2?

I have to say it, Bondrewd is a true Monster - someone who knows better than do the things that they do.
The single reason I didn’t watch the Anime or will even touch the Manga.

Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul film opened in Japan on Friday
So, I really hope When Sentai releases the movies, that they are in a 3 movie set (The 2 compilation movies and the new film in one package) If they release individually I’ll probably skip the compilation films because even though they usually have some new animation, they have a tendency to skip a lot of stuff from the series, so it really isn’t worth it. (To be fair they are kind of great when included with sequel projects as it can give a person who doesn’t have / seen the previous season a refresher as to what is going on. (Looking at you Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet 9)
I wouldn’t mind if these compilation films that include new footage came with an option to just watch the new footage.
Compilation movies IMO are only good for a recap as if those inexperienced with the series use them as an introduction then they get hit with the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood effect.
