Awww man that’s in Manhattan; at least it’s on a weekend. I might just be able to make it. . .if I’m realllyy lucky.

I’ve been looking into this for a bit, but unfortunately, even though I live within walking distance of a train station, and it’s an hour ride to NYC, I doubt I’ll find the time to go. The Javits Center is a really nice place though, I’ve been there a couple times for other things.

When I was first thinking about going to this, the only guest of honor was Minori Chihara. Now there are 8 guests of honor!

You’re 1 hour away from Manhattan? I’m about 2 hours and I live in NYC! But it’s by car, so it makes sense I guess.

Surprisingly, it takes just as long to get to grand central driving from where I live as it does to take the train from where I live.

If I took the train though, I would still have to get to the Javits Center, which isn’t within walking distance from grand central.

“Grand Central Station. . .it’s central, and grand!”

Please post a pic of the HotD zombie girls

Rai is sad he cannot go, but I hear a fine NYC lobster will put him to ease.

Multi-story crustacean claws, they can be so satisfying.

I can’t go, I already have plans for that weekend. Plus, that is to far away for me on short notice. So, the pic is to be posted after the convention.

We’re a bit sad that Rai can’t join us! C’mon, I mean, aren’t college classes meant to be blown off for an insane trip and shenanigans? :stuck_out_tongue: I kid… I kid… Rai has to graduate, get rich quick and take care of all of us in our old age.

Ahhh, the hijinks we used to get into at other conventions… Memories…

Yes! If I go, I plan to bring back pictures for you!

[strike]What’s a bit disappointing is that I am in South Jersey this weekend but have absolutely no way or time to get up to Manhattan tomorrow. BTW, the Amtrack station that is closest to the Javits Center is Penn Station, not Grand Central![/strike]

Never mind-I just noticed it’s the second weekend in October, when I’ll be back in Oklahoma. If anyone can locate my mind, please send it back my way-I think I lost it on the way to Jersey, so it could be anywhere in the Eastern 1/3 of the country!

Only metro north trains run through my town, and the closest you can get to the Javits center from there (according to MTA), is grand central.
It really wouldn’t be a big deal, taking a taxi or a bus or just walking from grand central, but the 2 main reasons I can’t go (and I really want to) are:
1.) I don’t have any money
2.) I don’t have anyone to go with. Going to any kind of event alone is boring. But all of my friends aren’t around, or aren’t interested. :frowning:

Don’t need anybody to go with, you’ll meet plenty of people there.

Hey gang,
We’ve just received some details from Sony Music Records on the confirmed fall US tour by BOOM BOOM SATELLITES!!!

That weekend, Anime Network will be hosting a free autograph session at our booth with BOOM BOOM SATELLITES.

We’ll have a big update and announcement early next week!

(Yeah, can you tell that I’m totally stoked?)

SpazzySam

I’m excited about the update and announcement and can’t wait to see what you have in store. I wish I had the money to drive to New York next weekend…lol. I wouldn’t mind getting my Xam’d bluray signed.
