I’ve been looking into this for a bit, but unfortunately, even though I live within walking distance of a train station, and it’s an hour ride to NYC, I doubt I’ll find the time to go. The Javits Center is a really nice place though, I’ve been there a couple times for other things.
When I was first thinking about going to this, the only guest of honor was Minori Chihara. Now there are 8 guests of honor!
We’re a bit sad that Rai can’t join us! C’mon, I mean, aren’t college classes meant to be blown off for an insane trip and shenanigans? I kid… I kid… Rai has to graduate, get rich quick and take care of all of us in our old age.
[strike]What’s a bit disappointing is that I am in South Jersey this weekend but have absolutely no way or time to get up to Manhattan tomorrow. BTW, the Amtrack station that is closest to the Javits Center is Penn Station, not Grand Central![/strike]
Never mind-I just noticed it’s the second weekend in October, when I’ll be back in Oklahoma. If anyone can locate my mind, please send it back my way-I think I lost it on the way to Jersey, so it could be anywhere in the Eastern 1/3 of the country!
Only metro north trains run through my town, and the closest you can get to the Javits center from there (according to MTA), is grand central.
It really wouldn’t be a big deal, taking a taxi or a bus or just walking from grand central, but the 2 main reasons I can’t go (and I really want to) are:
1.) I don’t have any money
2.) I don’t have anyone to go with. Going to any kind of event alone is boring. But all of my friends aren’t around, or aren’t interested.
Hey gang,
We’ve just received some details from Sony Music Records on the confirmed fall US tour by BOOM BOOM SATELLITES!!!
The tour will kick off Oct 10th at Irving Plaza at NY Anime Fest/Comic Con!!!
That weekend, Anime Network will be hosting a free autograph session at our booth with BOOM BOOM SATELLITES.
Stop by to meet the guys, pick up Xamd on DVD and get them to sign it!
I’m excited about the update and announcement and can’t wait to see what you have in store. I wish I had the money to drive to New York next weekend…lol. I wouldn’t mind getting my Xam’d bluray signed.
