Yes yes, best of the big 3, though people in America wrote it off so early. The only manga of the big 3 that is constantly epic, not just that was a cool chapter surrounded by boredom. Anyway Whitebeards power, wow that was great, hes an earthquake man, the war is starting too, cant wait for more. It gets more epic each week. I wonder what Hancock is gonna do, especially once Luffy arrives.

I am wondering who opened the gate . I think it might have bin Gramps or Dadan

:woohoo: Episode 417 on Funimation online sub has the funniest thing I have seen in the show. Bao removing her Love-Love fruit abilities and all the sailors are yelling

Well the say when a man has been out to sea too long strange things will happen.

Also at Hawaii Int’l Film Fest’s Spring Showcase: ‘Summer Wars’, ‘Robo-geisha’, more

The Spring Showcase 2010 event of the Hawaii International Film Festival will be screening One Piece Film Strong World, the 10th anime film based on Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece pirate manga, in Honolulu on April 18 and 20. Unlike previous One Piece films, Oda had personally overseen the new film’s production. Munehisa Sakai’s film opened in Japan in December, and as of February, it has earned 4.7 billion yen (US$53 million) in ticket sales.

On April 19, the Spring Showcase will also show Summer Wars, the award-winning film from Mamoru Hosoda (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) about a modern-day family on a midsummer adventure in the real and virtual worlds. The film opened in Japan on August 1, 2009, and has since been scheduled in Spain’s Sitges, England’s Leeds Film Festival, Germany’s Berlin International Film Festival, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the New York International Children’s Film Festival, and the Irish Film Institute in Dublin.

In addition to the two anime films, the Spring Showcase will screen the Japanese films Beautiful Islands, Cafe Seoul, The Chef of South Polar, Robo-geisha, The Summit: A Chronicle of Stones, and Villon’s Wife. The Spring Showcase will run from April 16 to April 22, and the Kawaii Kon convention will also take place in Honolulu from April 16 to April 18.

The North American anime distributor Funimation announced its acquisition of the next block of One Piece for English dubbing on Friday. Senior Brand Manager Curtis Shaw spoke live during the Unofficial One Piece Podcast and gave several new details about the upcoming season.

Funimation picked up where it left off at episode 206 and purchased all the way to episode 263. Shaw mentioned that the next season will be in high-definition and in 16 by 9 aspect ratio. Funimation would like to keep the same format for releases; however, with the upgraded aspect ratio and HD content, a Blu-ray/DVD combo release maybe possible down the line. Funimation will also try to keep as much consistency as possible with regard to the voice acting, but actor schedules and location will affect casting.

Shaw gave a rough release date of Summer 2012.

North American anime distributor Funimation announced on Friday that it has acquired home entertainment rights for the sixth season of the One Piece television anime series. The sixth season will include episodes 337–384, which spans the Thriller Bark arc. One Piece Season Six will be released in four parts in 2014. The first volume, which will feature episodes 337–348, is slated to ship on May 13.

Funimation also announced that One Piece Collection 9 is slated to ship on April 15. The compilation will include episodes 206–229 and retail for US$34.98.

Funimation added One Piece Film Strong World and the fifth television anime season, which comprises episodes 264–336, in 2012. The company released One Piece Film Strong World, the 10th anime film based on Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece pirate manga, on November 19. One Piece Season Five, Voyage 5 shipped on Tuesday.

I wonder who is airing this on TV Japan. I didn’t even know there was such a thing until searching titles in my guide, and it tells me to order for like $30 a month. No idea what episode is airing either because it is listed as “(local)” and subtitled.

One would assume, since TV Japan is run by NHK Cosmomedia America, they probably have deals with various other JP TV companies/production committees.
Considering their anime lineup covers most of the consistently top watched anime in Japan by TV rankings, I’d probably go with that theory.
