Is something wrong with the mixing of the ending theme? The bass is ridiculously “over top” of everything else. Did they let the bassist do the mixing? This song is definitely Meghan Trainor approved, it’s All About that Bass lol.
I would pick the ending over the opening hands down as, IMO, the opening felt more like an ending (less energetic) but that bass…

I do agree. The bass did seem to mute out the tail end of the ending quite a bit, but it was either this or the longer version. I have no idea why it turned out that way but there’s not much you can do about it.
I hadn’t heard the ending in the show before (I haven’t gotten to Arslan yet) so I took a listen to the ending from the dubbed version of the show from Funi’s streaming and the bass is in the background, “under” the other instruments; It’s the inverse of the version here.
It was kinda weird hearing it without the bass being so dominant lol. The SoundCloud account of the uploader of the version of the ED in this thread is called “Blackwall bass” and its only other upload is a bass cover of another song.
Did the uploader cover the bass of the ED to Arslan and layer his cover atop the song?
