Dub was ok, maybe it will grow on me, but does the language have to be so “colorful” (i.e. swearing)?

I don’t know, but to me, a lot of it it just seemed out of place.

Maybe I’m wrong, but IIRC, Teacher did swear an awful lot in the subtitles as well…

I certainly know the group of the side characters from Bastard! in the second half of the show sure did…

The dub itself is quite good. It’s the ‘direction’ that might be “What?”

In the Japanese dub, Teacher has an almost older man/grandfatherly tone/cadence to him. There was no swearing in ep. 1.
In the English dub, he sounds like someone in his 30’s i.e. someone young; what with all that swearing and snark. He reminded me of Scanlan Shorthalt from Vox Machina. Did not like Vox Machina.

Fran in Japanese, sounds young.
Fran in English, a little older.

Still good overall.
Definitely will be adding the show to the shelf.
The show itself is that good.
