SYNOPSIS: Earth’s sea levels are slowly rising and coastal cities around the world have been forced to resort to drastic measures to keep floods of Biblical proportions at bay. Nowhere has the need been more desperate than in Japan, where the city of Tokyo has launched the massive Babylon project: a land reclamation undertaking so vast that it can only be completed with the aid of human-piloted construction robots called Labors. Unfortunately, any invention can be used for good or for evil, so to keep the Labors from being misused, the Tokyo police maintain their own units of Patrol Labors. Now the officers of the SV2 are about to receive their ultimate trial by fire, as multiple waves of Labors begin to mysteriously go berserk all at once. As the armored blue line fights to maintain control of the resulting chaos, they must also solve the mystery behind the outbreaks. Are they random? Are they tied to the construction of Babylon itself? Or is there a human element secretly orchestrating the ultimate destruction of the entire city? The wrath of nature and the gods is unleashed and only the courage of a handful of brave men and women can save the city in PATLABOR - THE MOTION PICTURE!

SYNOPSIS: Getting married and then dying would put a damper on most honeymoons, but Saito is made of stouter stuff than most would-be stiffs, and having been miraculously restored to life is a definite improvement over being dead. Unfortunately, as a result of his recent resurrection-al activities, the runes which bound Saito to his master, Louise the Zero, appear to have faded away. But will the fact that he is no longer contractually-obligated to be Louise’s Familiar lead to the two of them getting more “familiar” now that they’ve tied a different kind of knot? If Louise can’t learn to control her problems with premature explosions, the answer is probably not. Things only get more complicated when Siesta gets appointed to be Saito’s personal maid and everything goes completely out of control when the overly endowed Tiffania, who’d previously nursed Saito back from the dead, implants herself into the story as well! Will this full frontal assault on twin fronts be too much to handle? Will Saito and Louise’s relationship get “runed” yet again? The inanity and insanity continues in FAMILIAR OF ZERO: RONDO OF PRINCESSES!

SYNOPSIS: Sometimes you have to think outside the box, but Hekiyo Academy’s Student Council may go a step further and rewrite their entire universe! At least, that’s what could happen as the second season gets underway and the Council decides that their own anime might need a little spicing up. Should they introduce new characters? Add a boy’s love subplot? Or should they just continue to do what worked previously and spend most of their time chattering between themselves while working towards odd goals that might turn out to have been a little misguided in retrospect? The answer is “yes” to all of the above and more: Class barriers and the fourth wall come tumbling down as a supporting character literally takes up the challenge of moving up to main character status. The plot thickens with the mystery of a missing cake. The boundaries of love between step-siblings get pushed just a few steps beyond what’s socially comfortable and there just has to be a hot springs episode, doesn’t there? Of course there does! Join 5 student council members in search of an author as the storyline runs amok in Student Council’s Discretion Level 2!

Hmmm… Ninja Scroll might be nice for a movie purchase but nothing here really for me this month.

EDIT: Buys/Maybes
The World God Only Knows OVAS (story chatter)
Ninja Scroll (Off of a “must-have recommendation”)

Patlabor: The Movie
TWGOK ova’s
Muv-Luv col. 2

Soni-Ani intrigues me what with all the extras it’s getting.

Nothing on my buy list this month.

Sonico for me. Ninja Scroll on BD is maybe but I have the Manga DVD release.

Hmm. Maybe I’ll replace the Ninja Scroll DVD I have with the Blu Ray. I wonder what will be the difference between the packaging now and the packaging back in 2012. Will it have different authoring too? I heard the picture quality wasn’t that much of an upgrade the first time.

Super Sonico is a BIG maybe and so are the TWGOK OVAs. I haven’t seen more than two episodes of the first season yet.

With Familiar of Zero S3 coming out in May, we should finally be getting Familiar of Zero F in July

Regarding the God Only Knows OVA set, there’s chatter going around apparently (heard about it on a YouTube video from Blaizevincent talking about S23 May titles) that if you plan on picking up season 3, you’ll want to purchase the OVA set in order for the season to make sense. 1, 2, OVA’s, 3. That’s the order. If that’s true, I might pick it up.

I thought the same thing.

I’d also like to know what the difference between the pending Sentai BD of Ninja Scroll and the one that I purchased a while back is.

Same here. Otherwise it wouldn’t even register with me as the only Sentai Simulcast Show that bored me more than SS was Watamote. I don’t know when I’ll pick it up-maybe at a Sentai booth at a convention-but I’ll get it for the extras eventually.

Dunno when, but I’ll get this one too. I hope they rework the proposed box art though.

I’m interested in the Patlabor movie but I don’t recall which dub I saw the movie with as that is the dub that I’d prefer to be on this release, as I’m seeing rumors that only one of the 2 dubs will be on this disc.

This topic is now unpinned. It will no longer appear at the top of its category.
