Please, be fair and don’t look up any answers online.
I’ll reveal the answers later on.
I say B, A, C, A
These were all educated guesses. I know the Colts lost to Joe Nammath, beat the Bears and I think they won another one, but am not sure who they played. So I believe this will be #4 for them.
The Saints name was tricky. You know the patron saint of atheletes isn’t Saints but, there is a Saint something parish and that song that is famous in New Orleans. I know the # of time the Saints were in before and the Colts should be named after a pistol.
Colts-42
Saints-35

Not counting today? B

Again, not counting today? I’m not sure, so I’ll say A

A. From the patron Saint of athletes
B. From a classic marching song
C. From a Louisiana parish
I’m guessing B

Actually, the song is a gospel song that has become a jazz standard, not a marching song.
4. How did the Colts get their name?
A. From a pistol
B. From a malt liquor
C. From a sport
Actually, I think it is B.

I didn’t make this up, I found it on the internet… :stuck_out_tongue:

I found this on the Saints website:
According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the name Saints was the popular choice in a fan contest staged by the New Orleans States-Item. However, with or without the contest, the New Orleans team would most likely have been called the Saints. The franchise was awarded on All Saints Day, November 1, 1966. New Orleans was famous worldwide as the city of jazz and the famous marching song, “When the Saints Go Marching In”.

Here is some big news that football fans(especially our old friend dragoon and Rai) will be happy to hear, or sad? The Eagles just traded Donovan McNabb to the Redskins for a 2nd round pick in 2010 and a 3rd or 4th round pick in 2011. This is huge. I think McNabb is an elite QB who could do well anywhere.
Slick

Yeah, but he’s older, gets hurt and just hasn’t been able to pull the trigger enough to get the job done when it’s needed. I’m sorry to see McNabb go, but I think his time as an Eagle has passed…

Newshawk wrote:

Yes he is older, but a 33 year old QB could have a lot of great years left in him. He hasn’t had a bad injury in a while(broken ribs last year), and I think he’ll do well the next few years.

So Packers looked weak today, they should have beaten the Eagles by a lot more, but man. Aaron Rodgers was not playing up to his potential today, and the running game was so weak. A lot of injuries in that game too, I hope Ryan Grant isn’t out for too long, we need him.

Steelers win and Dallas loses. What else can I say. :stuck_out_tongue:

I bet my old boss is mad right now.

Rai and dragoon will be mad as well. They are Dallas fans. It was a good game, too bad it ended on a penalty.

Oh! Great way to start the season. :stuck_out_tongue:

At least I’m a long time Eagles fan, so I’m used to it. It was a sucky weekend-the Eagles got beat at home and Martin Truex Jr. placed 24th at Richmond. At least i have a boatload of anime to cheer me up! :frowning: :S

AS IT SHOULD BE! But the Steelers did pretty well without Big Ben. Their defense really stepped up, as did the Falcons. It wasn’t a bad game, minus the near lack of touchdowns…lol

A report on my two teams.

Ohio State = yeah, Baby. Kick everyone’s ass

Cincinnati Bengals = vs. New England. All I can say is…WTF?

My thoughts on last night’s Cowboys game:

“It was like finding 100 bucks on the street, but while you’re grabbing it some guy comes up and knees you in the face!”

First off, HELL YES PACK BEATS THE VIQUEENS 28-24.

U READY?

Packers are still alive, I approve

Steelers are still alive, my mom approves.

Rest of family hopes one of the two teams loses.
