Torchwood

I thought it deserved it’s own thread.

Per Wiki:

Per me:
A team of sexy people with guns and leather jackets who save the day and walk in slow motion from time to time.

I flashed on Baywatch when I read that part.

I’m never been in the habit of thanking God for anything, but damn I can’t wait for TW’s return.

Ironically Starz is the one special channel I don’t have. Damn my luck. I’m just hoping that BBCA will play the reruns someday. ;_;

Ya, up until I heard Starz was getting the new season of Torchwood, I’d have never subscribed to them either. I still wont, but that’s a completely unrelated matter entirely. You should subscribe to Netflix though, Starz has a deal with them that they throw their original programming up on Instaplay. I’m not sure if there’s a delay on it though, since I’ve no interest in any of their other programming.

Looking into that deal to find the specifics, I’m hoping that Torchwood airs and completes within the next 7 months, because then the deal is most likely to expire since Liberty Media (Starz parent company) is talking about increasing the amount from $30 million to $250 million…

Hmmm… I can’t get this clip to play. I tried looking it up on YouTube, but Starz already had it taken down.

But here it is on Starz: http://www.starz.com/extras#/torchwood-miracle-day-teaser

So thus far we’re looking at the extinction of the planet Earth, or at least the human population on it. I’m going to guess that this is how they’re going to pull Jack back to Earth to see if there’s a way he can prevent whatever is causing our extinction.

It reveals someone is a fan of Lou Reed.

So, let’s see there is like just Jack and Gwen left right? Wonder if that new girl in the mini series is going to be in it? Or maybe Martha Jones? (hopes)

I can’t wait to see the new series i love this spin of! lol

Does BBC America has the rights also or does starz has all rights now!

I’m really excited for this, though I’m not sure how I feel about the new American characters yet. But I guess I will have to watch and find out. I’m really digging Gwen’s new hairdo.

To answer the question, Starz should have exclusive rights for now. Though I would be surprised if it didn’t show up on BBC America at some point later on, maybe next year. I’m sure if BBC America had rights, they would be airing commercials all over the place, just like they did for the last Torchwood season. I believe it’s second in ratings only to Doctor Who.

Okay i would hope so i do not want watch it on starz and wait a year to watch it on BBC. As for the American actors i personally do not mind that much; due to the fact of the American Scifi version of Being Human to me turn out to be a hit and i actually enjoyed more than the British version im not sure why, but i do.

Well, I need a new pair of pants. Seriously though, it looks like they might even outdo Children of Earth with this one. It seems to be movie quality as well.

It would be that new flashy budget, but it does not matter i love the show either way. If I recall all of the first three or four seasons of the revamped Dr.Who was all filmed in Cardiff.
