If the backend was made a certain way, discontinuing support would just mean flicking a switch to disable the old consoles, and there may not be much in the the way of maintaining the frontend at this point for the old consoles either.

If all the stuff is on the store server, it’s only a matter of updating the PS store software on the 3 systems, since PS 4 / 5 is compatible with each other, counting it as the same
