Alita: Battle Angel.
It was better than I expected, it had its issues but I had fun with it. The anime series Violet Evergarden could’ve learned a lot from it to be sure though.
i tried to watch this tonight as it aired for the first time on TV, but even before a commercial break i found myself dozing off, and more interested in seeing the animated version. Like the Rankin/Bass animated Hobbit, the animated BATB just told the story more interestingly and quicker. These live action adaptations seem too slow and draw out and this coming fomr someone that could put in John’s Wayne’s Hatari and replay it over and over with its heavy lulls the story.
these new movies are just missing something, while trying to reinvent the wheel. if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Saw in theaters.
I also just saw Shazam.
Can’t say I really cared for it, the hype was too strong. But I’m of course in the apparent minority who thought Aquaman was a fun film
