I’m really hoping this is one of the Sentai pick ups!
Or at the very least a CR pick up.

I want to ike this one as it is the token non-moeblob show this season (end the moe madness!) but ep 1 was a bit too silly. Witch Hunter Robin + Otome + Law 'n Order?

It has to suck being the other new lawyer as her coworkers weren’t discreet at all about how they only cared about the newly-hired 17-year-old idiot-savant lawyer protagonist.

The employees at the law office really have a Witch Hunter Robin/Planetes vibe to them IMO.

I’m not sure what is up with the voice acting for the frog though. Is he supposed to be French? Is he just weirdly saying “Bon” to end his sentences for no real reason? If the Sentai dub doesn’t give him a French accent then I’ll be disappointed

#7

That’s a yes, since according to ep. 1 our MC was not only born in Canada, but supposedly half-Canadian herself and she only just recently returned to Japan. I’m guessing her dad was Canadian, her mother Japanese.

Or Canadian…Aye!

Ep. 02

This is just a really fun show to watch!
All kinds of action with magic users & lawyers.

It’ll be interesting to see where they go from here.

#9

wonder if there’ll be any cameos by other Umetsu characters from either the Kite or Mezzo franchise.

Last time I was in Canada, they had ketchup. I guess things have changed in the future.

I’m hoping that this show will be less procedural in time. Right now, it’s just Japan’s version of an American “irreverent legal drama”.

I like it!! There was just enough introduction into the story, ideas, and characters with plenty more to build on as episodes continue. “Law Anime” <— is this a certified genre yet?

Ep. 09

Some rather interesting turn of events.
So Cecil has already died once it seems back when her mother used her magic in defence of her daughter.

Ep. 11

Wow… just… wow.
I really hope they fix this episode for the physical release.
That was just the worst case of unfinished animation and animation mistakes I’ve seen in a simulcast… ever.

This is rather annoying too, as this series was pretty good up to this point, but the severe unfinished animation made this episode pretty much unwatchable.
Humorously enough, all the mech CG seemed to be done.
