Added Sentai Panel info for Otakon.

10 am on Friday?! That’s a joke, right? That’s worse than the Sunday morning time from last year.

This is now in “if you didn’t get your badge on Thursday you’re SOL” territory.

Well, the Sentai panel was pretty cool, despite its brutal timeslot. I scored the best seat in the house.

However, the Sentai booth at Otakon was nothing like what it was at AnimeExpo. It looks smaller than it did last year. Only “advanced copies” I saw in bulk were: Shining Hearts, Medaka Box & HSotD: Drifters.

David Williams said that they tried to get cool stuff to Otakon. I don’t know how hard they tried but what they still had was fun. It would have been more fun, however, if I hadn’t known that they brought their A-Game to AnimeExpo, that they rocked that con like they were ADV circa 2006.

Also, Funimation really, really, really cheaped out this year. Their booth is smaller, doesn’t have its primo location and has nothing. No cosplayers, no stripper poles, no gel bananas. Not even a decent giveaway w/purchase program as they had just last year. There’s no spectacle in the Otakon dealers’ room, not if you knew it as it was. Patrick Seitz would not approve lol.
