I’ve meant to address some things here lately but I recently started a new job and haven’t had the time to work on what I want to say–but it seems I’m going to have to deal with things now. CYBB has been a labor of love for me. I rescued the game when Mystic sought to shut it down many years ago. I frankly didn’t thin it’d still be going strong almost 500 weeks later (that counts a few weeks when the game was in hiatus.) But here we are, on the cusp of the 483rd round.
There has been a question raised to me over OneWayDevil’s Series5Ranger’s claim in Round 482. In researching the questions, I reviewed the official rules as listed in the first post of this thread. Rule 2 states:
Final Fantasy VIII is a role playing video/computer game, not a visual novel. Also, the manga cited by OneWayDevil is a doujinshi, not an officially licensed and published work. While Japanese publishers have been incredibly supportive of the creators of doujinshis, even helping some become officially published mangaka, CYBB is based on officially licensed works. Also, while I haven’t read the doujinshi cited by OWD, from what I gather it involves only two the the characters in Final Fantasy VIII–and neither one of them are Quistis Trepe, from what I can tell.
Therefore, I must regretfully disallow OneWayDevil’s Series5Ranger’s round 482 claim. Please make a substitute claim at your earliest convenience.

@OneWayDevil I’m really sorry. Not trying to rack up likes, but I really do enjoy the discourse displayed here. Plus it’s actually interests me on which characters each member has a prioritization to.

The game officially began in April of 2010, so the 10 year anniversary will probably be somewhere around round 512 or so. We sometimes take breaks for holidays and stuff, so the round count is off a little bit. Thanksgiving is sometimes skipped, since it’s a Thursday, and people travel. We may or may not take the round before or the round after Christmas as well (or both sometimes) since it’s also usually a big travel holiday for some.
