If I may ask, no hentai characters AT ALL even if they’re tastefully dressed?
So where do you plan on drawing a line on “hentai”? Are we going with shows that are strictly pornographic or any show that depicts sexual acts? Because I mean a good majority of anime itself implies sexualisation of pretty much anything. The Japanese are perverts when it comes to their shows so I’m just curious how and where you’re going to draw this line.
I’ve been choosing hentai characters (Kanako from Koiito Kinenbi (round 145) (released in round 325b) for years now and was unaware of this.

Does that mean everyone has to release their Fate Stay Night characters since it was originally an Adult Visual Novel?

While I have a concern about the quality of the pictures posted for hentai titles, I’m most concerned about the possibility of underage people, or people who may be offended by those claims, threatening the existence of this game.
I’ll draw the line where the mainstream anime licensors draw it. While some licensors have a separate title for hentai (Section23 Film’s SoftCel Pictures, for example,) they are not available for streaming on company owned sites such as HIDIVE or Crunchyroll.
And I was unaware until now that Koiito Kinenbi was a hentai title. You left that detail out of your claim when you made it in February of 2013, unlike the recent claims that highlight the fact.
I believe that I have set the bar above. Hybrid x Heart was licensed by Funimation and Testament of Sister New Devil was licensed by Crunchyroll–and neither depict “that stuff.”
Trying to shame me by citing the Grisaia universe? Sorry, that won’t work. Besides, if I were to do that, then Air, Kanon, Aokana: Four Rhythm Across the Blue, and many other series that were adapted from adult VNs would also have to be excluded. I’m not judging the series by their parent works but by the anime series themselves.
Again, you did not specify what type of anime the character came from, thus I was not aware of it. What has alarmed me more is the trumpeting of the type of series that the characters came from. This game is not labeled 18+, no do I want it to be so.

It’s your game if you want to change the rules go for it but I don’t agree with your logic by any degree. The vast majority of anime is not for underage children. If underage children are looking up pornographic material they are breaking the law and it’s up to their parents to know what they’re looking at.

So this character is from a show about a couple of adventurers who travel around reviewing different whorehouses of different monster species in a fantasy setting. This particular character seems to be the headmistress of a fairy whorehouse. Yes that’s right, Tinkerbell sized prostitutes. When you first meet her, before our adventurers can saddle up with their chosen hooker she has to measure their penis’ girth to make sure they are paired with the right fairy who can handle said girth. She literally pulls out a ruler and flies over to one of the main character’s penis landing on it as though she was straddling a horse. She then proceeds to slide herself back and forth in a humping motion to make the character more erect so she can properly measure him. Again these adventurers have chosen a fairy hooker house to review. Grown adult size humans have chosen to have sex with fairies the size of your hand… I would make a palmela joke but at this point I’m not even trying to be funny. As far as nudity there are some breast shots. Definitely not a show for underage children or your occasional Karen.
I see that you’re making my point–there’s enough ecchi characters from “mainstream” anime that there’s no need to delve into the world of hentai. Of course, Interspecies Reviewers is a special case. Sure, it’s licensed by Funimation but have you tried to stream it from the Funimation website or app? No your point was that of a moral argument that has no grounds. You brought up underage children and people getting offended threatening the existence of your game.
You also seem to have ignored @Slowhand 's question about picking characters as long as they were tastefully dressed.
Take a wild guess what that implies. It means that you and you alone have the issue. No one else running this site or moderating has any issue with hentai characters being chosen in a game as long as no pornographic material is being posted. As long as everyone is within the limitations of the site rules the only thing threatening the existence of this game is you and your choice alone.
Yea I’m fully aware that they stopped streaming it. And do you know about the fallout from doing that? They got called out for being hypocrites. Nobody bought their moral high horse bullsh#t, not with the shows that already exist on their catalog. It’s definitely not a special case. It kills me how people are fine with certain types of sexual content being depicted but not with others. Like dudes can trip and fall and “accidentally” grab boobs or go peeping or snooping through the panty drawer but God forbid we show actual sex.
Even the Japanese Ethics Committee told people that were complaining about underage children watching it, that not only was it on what is considered late night television that they also advised them that maybe they needed to pay attention to what their children were watching.
You have no argument to make when it comes to morals threatening the existence of your game. Why are you so bent up about sexual content but silent on violence?

OneWayDevil, the bottom line is, as the Mods have said before, it’s my game and I set the rules; so, irrespective of the reasons or rationale, I have made the decision to implement Rule 11 and that will not change. Therefore, you have one of three choices in the matter:
- Accept the rule and continue on as a player
- Start your own game with your own rules
- Retire from the game. If you choose this option, you can no longer comment in the thread.
