What a season we have here! I’ve found a great deal of targets…characters to choose from. Almost too many. However, there’s another series that caught my eye this past week–so this week, I’m claiming Rinku Aimoto from D4DJ First Mix:

2020 has been a helluva year. Pandemics, protests/riots, wildfires, hurricanes, asteroids, and much, much, more–and we still have two months left to go. Not to mention some of our long-time players disappearing, along with some high-profile walkaways, too. We need to end the year on a positive note!
Therefore, I am declaring that it is time for a bishie rescue! From Halloween to New Years, you will be able to claim, in addition to your regular claim, a previously claimed but now abandoned character. Hornet is preparing a list of available characters but if you know of any others that have been abandoned and remain unclaimed, you may choose them.
What makes this rescue event different is, you may claim a rescue character for your first character if you wish, thus claiming two in a round. (Now, I know that you’ve technically been able to do this all along, but I just wanted to make sure everyone knew about it…)
To sweeten the pot even more (and since there’s four of them coming up,) I’m giving us an extra, second rescue pick for the weeks of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Those weeks, you can claim one new character and two rescues, or three rescues!

Here’s that list Newshawk mentioned. The characters are listed in semi-alphabetical order, and by that I mean all the E characters are under E, but the characters under E are not necessarily in alphabetical order.
In addition to that, I just wanted to clear something up…
I was under the impression in the previous rescue rounds that we were only able to claim a rescue character as the second claim because of this bit from the first rescue event we did:
Also, the players we’re “rescuing” from have been purged completely from the game. Their lists won’t be off limits again if they come back suddenly. There is no need to list who the rescue is coming from, because their lists don’t exist anymore. So feel free to just claim two characters each round, they’ll be listed as A and B on the lists, so feel free to do the same when you claim them or something similar.
Lastly, I just want a clarification from @Newshawk on this:
Do the extra claims have to be a rescue? Or could I claim a character that hasn’t been claimed before?

Question: If I wait and claim tomorrow (Halloween), can I start this? Or is this for the Friday after Halloween?

I think he probably means that the double claim rounds start this week with the round that starts tonight, even though halloween is technically tomorrow. So you can start claiming two characters starting tonight.

What about the bonus holiday third claim? Will that be on Halloween night itself, or will that process starting tonight as well?

How about this @Newshawk ?:
The 3 claim rounds should probably be on the following dates:
10/30/20 for Halloween week. (That’s Today!)
11/27/20 for Thanksgiving week. This is the day after Thanksgiving, and I know we usually take the thanksgiving week off because people usually travel for Thanksgiving, but since absolutely none of you should be traveling right now, we’ll just go with it.
12/18/20 for Christmas because even though nobody should be traveling for Christmas, the day itself is still on a Friday, so we’ll do it the week prior because we may not even have a round that week possibly. This is also apparently the last day of Hanukkah, so that’s neat too.
01/01/21 for New Years because let’s be real, it may be New Year’s Day, but that’s not a real holiday and you should be home anyway.
Something like this, though that’s subject to change.
P.S: Ya’ll should probably stay home!

Ah, I see my announcement has caused some excitement! Let me take each question one at a time.
First:
I guess the easiest way to explain it is that you may claim one new bishie and one rescue (two in the bonus weeks) or no new bishie and two rescues (three in the bonus weeks.)
Second:
I should have clarified this, but the bonus rounds are for the weeks the holiday falls in, with the exception of Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving round shall begin on Black Friday, November 27th.
Third:
Since this is just a bonus pick to the week’s pick, it can be made at any time during the week it is active. Of course, if by next Friday you haven’t made a third claim, you forfeit the bonus claim.
Fourth
Since these are not multi-day rounds, I was thinking we’d have plenty of time to complete the picks even with the holidays included–but I like the idea of having the Christmas bonus actually being a Hanukkah/Christmas bonus round. It also gives an extra week between the final two bonus rounds, thus giving Hornet more time to compile the lists. Also, my apologies for slighting any Jewish players out there. I hold Hanukkah in as high regard as I do Christmas.
Fifth:
Au contraire, mon Hornet… New Year’s Day is a holiday–a Federal Holiday, at that!

Black Friday is still within the week that Thanksgiving falls in.
Now, I should make a claim for the current round before it ends!
