I’m wondering if Kadokawa did not want to much for it. It’s very odd Hidive/Sentai did not pick it up since CR did not. Unless everyone has become a bunch of prudes.

I don’t know about that, but Crunchyroll was in the production committee for Harem In the Labyrinth of Another World. Whether they did that pre- or post-Sonyifcation, I don’t know.
