Before we resume the Claim Your Bishoujo/Bishounen! game, I need to address the issue that has recently arisen. I know that the VTubers are cartoon-style figures but the original concept of this game was, and remains today, the claiming of fictional characters from primarily (but not exclusively) Japanese anime, manga, light novels, and visual novels. After looking into the videos cited by those who want to claim VTuber characters, I am of the belief that they do not fit the game’s concept. They are not characters–they are avatars for real people, just as many of us have nicknames with pictures that do not exactly represent us.

That being said, I will not require that previously claimed characters be given up. (Yes, OneWayDevil, you can keep Gawr Gura.) However, going forward, I will not allow further picks of VTuber avatars.

If you want to plead your case, you are welcome to do so. Just be aware that it will be a waste of time as I have made up my mind and I will not make any further changes to my decision.

Now… back to the claiming!
