With Funimation more or less sitting on this license WRT the original series, is there any way Sentai could move in and make a bluray of the original series?

Not that I know of . FUNimation keeps constantly renewing most of those ,former Bandai titles and the former Geneon/Pioneer titles they got . Except stuff like Air , original When they Cry (worse selling title that they’d never license anymore of it 
) , and anything that was Aniplex . Not a lot of it they seem to let go .
