I’m rather surprised they went after another sports anime, considering how they never finished licensing the rest of Eyeshield 21.

Maybe this isn’t a long running series (or isn’t planned to be a long running series)

Cosidering some of the titles Sentai has licensed, I’d say length has little part in it.

More than likely this is a TOHO title and Sentai has a relatively decent relationship with them, to the point of them licensing everything they’ve held international rights to in the past few seasons (i.e. Engaged to the Unidentified, Fantasista Doll, Majestic Prince, and MEGANEBU!).

Or maybe they’re hoping for a little Free! style action with this show: something for the ladies (and BL enthusiasts): young, attractive guys sweating it up on the court slapping a ball back and forth. Going by that pic and PV, doesn’t look anywhere as ridiculous as Eyeshield was.

Haikyuu teams up with ball-makers Mikasa for some school-inspired leisure bags

Ep. 01

That was actually better than I thought it would be.
I’m generally kind of “eh” about sports anime, since I don’t really like sports in real life, but I can see me enjoying this one a bit.
Let’s see if Ep. 02 holds up.

This was a show I expected to not be too interested in, but by Ep 6, I’m hooked.

Kinda took over One Week Friends on my internal watch priority list some how.

Ep. 03

Yeah, this series is surprisingly good!
I’m rather impressed with it thus far.

I loved how Kageyama gave Hinata a toss at the end of the hellish practice and gave him a spike!
