3 Summer 2014 anime whose activities are perfect for the season
Posted on Jul 16th, 2014

The Summer season is already upon us and as the warm temperatures give students a much needed break from school, there are also several summer activities which they can enjoy. Japanese media website DDNavi takes a look at three of the new Summer 2014 anime whose activities seem to be a perfect fit for this warm and sunny season.

When it comes to the summer season, swimming is usually one of the top activities as it not only provides an excellent way to cool down and escape the summer heat, but also make you fit. The anime which best exemplifies that is of course, Free! which is described by its fans as the anime which best describes the summer season. Its second season, Free! Eternal Summer is still one of the hottest titles anime this season and has definitely made a huge splash among fans.

The boys of the Iwatobi Swim Team are really a great fit for the summer as the anime’s mostly female fans have avidly tuned in to the series’ epic swimming pool battles.

If you prefer the wilderness instead of the pool, then Survival Game Club! (also known as Sabagebu!) may just be right for you. It’s weird and wacky all-female members may not be as well known as the boys from Free! (at least not yet anyway) but their love for airsoft guns and wild imaginations would be perfect for their summer activities.

Playing airsoft in the wilderness would give you a unique summer experience as you try and “eliminate” your enemies and work together with your teammates. Gun fans rejoice!

But if guns and swimming ain’t your thing, how about some dancing? To be specific, how about dancing the traditional Japanese dance known as Yosakoi? The girls of Hanayamata seem to think so as the anime features the beautiful art of Yosakoi dancing.

Featuring lovely and traditional Japanese costumes and a unique beat that is Yosakoi, this would be great for people who just love dancing.

So which summer activity would you like to take part in? Cooling off to go swimming? Fighting in the wilderness with airsoft? Or dancing Yosakoi?
