It’s the 50th anniversary of the anime Humanoid Monster Bem, & trying to dig up the lost REAL final episode will drive a man to ruin. And who is a girl with the name of a character from the anime?
Bela has really solid video, far better than the DVD previously released in Japan. Audio is both 5.1 & 2.0, and both tracks are rich & booming when you’d want them to be.
Humanoid Monster Bela is an interesting B-movie take on the Bem franchise, which has endured through the years in various forms. It creates a fictionalized reality that doesn’t require any knowledge of the franchise, while being a fun watch.
Bela: Humanoid Monster is out on Blu-ray December 26th, 2023 and can be pre-ordered now:
