Now…
Think they’re gonna keep all the dub cast?
If you’re wondering I’m about 95% certain this is Sony’s connection to Kadokawa who own the studio handling the Animation production and the guy from them that was saying Sentai/HIDIVE was not paying what they were wanting for stuff.
Speculation on my part but to many dots connecting for my taste.
This worries me for us getting more seasons of shows for some shows on HIDIVE.
Again Speculation on my part.
Funimation did for Log Horizon so I don’t see why not as most of the cast has worked with CR before as well
By the way they probably asked for way too much for Season 3 then. Usually in the contract they have what you would call a Right of First Refusal for a subsequent season or sequel series, which means they basically have to give the previous season licensee the first look at how much they want for a sequel series. (It also means they may have asked for way too much intentionally to get HiDive to bow out of licensing it, There are possible anti Trust issues but they would have to be the ones to prove it, which would be incredibly difficult)
Anyway, wotking with Kadokawa going forward is going to be the suck, unless they can be on the production committee like with Petals of Reincarnation
They won’t have the translation skills of Ian Fagan, either. I wonder if Jake Jung will be hired, though. I wouldn’t blame him if he did.
