Nickelodeon Renews “Ninja Turtles” for Season 4; Replaces Jason Biggs With Seth Green
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Nickelodeon has renewed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a fourth season of 20 episodes, slated for the fall 2015 season.

The third season, which is launching this fall, will also see the replacement of Jason Biggs with Seth Green as Leonardo – “the leader in blue.”

Biggs has been a controversial member of the show since launch. The actor, who is most commonly known for the adult American Pie movies, has stirred controversy for vulgar jokes about political figure’s wives to the missing Malaysian Airline. It’s obvious Nick wanted to part finally part ways.
The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shredded the competition at the box office, and that can only mean one thing: a sequel is on the way.

Paramount Pictures has officially announced that a follow up to the new Turtles movie to emerge from its shell on June 3, 2016. Michael Bay will be back to produce, along with the same screenwriters. You can expect the new film to continue the story of the four turtle brothers, although I can’t help but wonder if they’ll still be teenagers in two years.

“Nicktoons is stuffing viewers’ stockings this holiday season with the first two seasons of the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series from Dec. 22 – 28, at 8:00 p.m. (ET).”

So finally, five years after Nickelodeon acquired the TMNT franchise – as well as the 2003 series from 4Kids Entertainment – Nicktoons will begin airing the show. From the sounds of the blurb above, all 52 episodes from the first two seasons will air in a one-week period.

The show was announced to join the Nicktoons network in the fall of 2010. The show was last broadcast (in it’s “Back to the Sewer” season) on The CW4Kids in August 2010.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie but maybe it’s because of its ‘bright and colorful’ tone, it’s not soaring at the box office. Also, those early trailer with Run DMC only made me remember Vanilla Ice in the original TMNT 2 and we all know how that one turned out.

And then there was part 3, sheesh.
They could have at least added Usagi Yojimbo to fit with the theme.
