Masato lands an audition for a play, but doesn’t know how to act. And it’s a love scene which is even worse. But his friends help him out and Tokiya makes such a pretty girl! However, Masato just couldn’t bring himself to embrace Tokiya in that love scene. This was too funny! They should have thought of Haruka right from the beginning, but Tokiya didn’t want to “trouble” her.

Remembering what his grandfather had once told him and taking Cecil’s advice, Masato is finally able to overcome his block by picturing Haruka as his leading lady. The embrace was very passionate and Masato impressed everyone. He is awarded the part and will make an excellent “Singing Swordsman of Justice”! Cecil finds out that Masato loves Haruka and Cecil still has a lot to learn about being human.

That was so sweet with the kids and the haunted house bazaar. Funny too that the kids thought Haruka and Otoya are a couple. Haruka is scared of haunted houses and clung to Otoya just as a real girlfriend would and that didn’t bother Otoya one little bit! In fact, he wished that the exit would never come. But of course it does and the kids made the final room just before the exit a magical place. And the note left for them there was very sweet too.

I almost thought that Otoya was going to confess to Haruka, but she got a final scare and the moment was ruined. And it was all Cecil’s fault! In the end, Cecil just came to help out, but his arrival was pretty timely! However, the following day, no one comes to the bazaar. They have competition from a big flea market close by. Otoya sings to cheer the kids up but I think his song was really meant for Haruka – even if she did write it.

Once the song is over, Otoya and the kids realize they’ve attracted a bunch of customers, including the rest of ST☆RISH – in bear costumes! I wonder what kind of job they were doing! LOL And later, Haruka is told by Saotome to keep writing songs. He tells her that the more songs she writes, the greater the chances of having a hit. He’s really working the poor girl hard.

Ren is chosen for a fashion show, but Ren is not thrilled to know that the main sponsor is his older brother – the one that forced him to become an idol so he could be the poster boy for the family company. As a third son, Ren often felt left out of his family, but at least he knows what he wants out of life now and it’s all thanks to Haruka.

The big day arrives and Ren is the star of the show. Suddenly the lights and the sound go out. Ren talks to the crowd to calm them, but I think he excites them instead. LOL He begins to sing a capella and I liked the way his brother delivered the CD to the operations room. Soon enough, Ren’s music is blasting from the speakers. Of course he is singing for Haruka, but he certainly lit up everyone’s hearts! Including his brother’s and the show is saved thanks to Ren.

After the show, Haruka praises Ren until he makes her uncomfortable with his flirting. But then his brother comes along and once they talk, Ren realizes that his brother really does love him after all and wants him to succeed – not for the company, but for himself. I’m glad they understand each other now.

Natsuki gets his turn at a job, but they really want Satsuki, his alter ego. And when Satsuki does come out, he threatens Haruka. He’s also just about to kiss Haruka when some of the other guys show up. Not much can be done to contain Satsuki because his glasses are broken but they try to work together to get the glasses back on him – and end up getting locked up on the roof!

Haruka almost gets her fingers broken in the door, but Satsuki relented. Perhaps even he has some true feelings for her. But it isn’t until Haruka shows Satsuki the song that Natsuki wrote that Satsuki begins to realize that Natsuki is changing. Satsuki has always protected Natsuki, so what will become of him if Natsuki gets stronger? But he also sees how Natsuki feels about Haruka, so he borrows Cecil’s sunglasses and, putting them on, he becomes Natsuki again with no memory of Satsuki ever having made an appearance. The gravure shoot is a success and Natsuki gets to sing his special song as well.

Vacation time! Well, more of a training camp. Haruka still needs to write those hits! But at least it’s a break in routine for everyone.

Haruka is beginning to think that her music is lacking something although she doesn’t want to doubt herself. Locked up in her cabin, she goes outside for a breath of air to find a bunch of flowers and a picnic basket from her boys. They are supporting her and maybe that will give her the boost she needs.

Cecil has gotten his special song from Haruka, but is having difficulties writing the lyrics. She freed him from his curse and he feels a great need to repay her and make her happy. Haruka comes upon him in the forest and Cecil grabs her in a hug and confesses his love to her. He also tells her that he wants to be an idol! That’s what Haruka wants too – she wants to see him make people happy. He’s made her very happy and that is what he wanted to do after all.

Haruka announces Cecil’s decision at dinner. Some of the guys are happy and some are not – well he did say that he had no interest in becoming an idol. But all the guys will end up supporting him too. Still struggling with his song, Cecil calls upon the muses to help him, but is using magic cheating? Camus sees a glow in the forest, but will he question it? In any case, Cecil is happy with his new song and believes that it will connect people to the gods.

Everyone enjoys the beautiful star filled sky that night. Haruka tells the guys that she is reminded of them. She could just stare at them forever and Ren asks her if that’s a confession of love. He’s only teasing her of course, but it shakes her up. Haruka still isn’t happy with her song writing but promises to do her best.

Cecil owes wanting to be an idol to the other guys because he sees how happy they make people. Under the starry sky, Cecil sings his new song. But his voice carries and everyone can hear him. The rest of ST☆RISH finds him and they end up singing backup for him. Afterwards, everyone felt the magic in that song and mentions how well Cecil’s voice blends with theirs. Cecil decides that the muses want him to sing not as one, but as part of seven.

Haruka realizes that this is what has been missing from her writing and asks Cecil to join ST☆RISH! Took her long enough – I’d been expecting this for a long time. The guys accept her decision and welcome Cecil to the group. Haruka will write one test song for all of them to see if their harmony is true or not.

Cecil later receives a letter from his king. The king has heard that Cecil’s curse has been lifted and wants him to return to Agnapolis immediately to accept his crown. Oh no! It looks like Cecil is going to do as he has been bid. Will he really abandon everyone?

Camus announces to the gang that Cecil has left and why. The guys are devastated and Haruka is as well. Especially he left behind his song and his pendant. Cecil has promised to return, but Camus is sure that he won’t be able to change his fate.

The guys think about how much Cecil has already influenced them in the short time they’ve known him and can’t believe that he’s left them. They hope he can come back, but if he’s going to be a king, that seems impossible. They hear Haruka playing the song that she had just written for the new seven member ST☆RISH group. It seems that she does believe that Cecil will return and the guys decide to support her.

Haruka gives the song to the guys and they are very happy with it, however, as much as they want to, they won’t sing it until Cecil returns and they are seven again. But they will start writing the lyrics. The seniors can’t believe how naïve they are and don’t understand how they will ever survive in a business where such friendships are impossible.

Shining arrives with the news that he has already chosen their next song from the ones that Haruka had already given him. Haruka explains about her new song and how she wants to include Cecil, but Shining refuses, knowing that Cecil has returned to Agnapolis and is already living his new life. He tells them to forget about Cecil. Haruka pulls out Cecil’s pendant and says that he would never leave it behind. She seems to think that it’s a promise of his return.

Shining has another reason not to let Cecil join ST☆RISH – they’ve already been nominated for the Uta Pri award! He will not allow an upset in the balance of a perfect existing six. And if they don’t behave, Shining will decline the nomination. But the guys protest – they will wait for Cecil and sing as seven. A plane flies overhead and someone jumps out just as Shining tells them that they will be watching the award ceremony as spectators only.

The jumper is Cecil! He parachutes safely down and as he drifts towards them, he uses a bullhorn to ask Shining if he’s really satisfied with a six member group. He wants Shining to listen to their harmony before he makes his decision final. Cecil lands right next to them and the group performs their new song for Shining – gee, they wrote those lyrics pretty darn fast! The seniors hear the singing and join the listeners. And it seems something is happening with Haruka – she’s glowing! In fact, the guys are too! Shining and the others are mesmerized. This song is pure magic!

After the song, Shining is convinced that he’s seen the true form of ST☆RISH and perhaps he’s finally found that “elusive wave” he’s been searching for. Everyone was impressed by their harmony and Cecil always thought that music connected people to the gods, but sees now that it can also connects people to people. Haruka gives Cecil back his pendant and tells him that they all believed that he’d return to them. They all beg Shining to let Cecil officially join ST☆RISH. But Shining had already made that decision and proclaims the seven of them to be the new ST☆RISH!

The royal family may still be a problem for Cecil, but he tells everyone that he already has the king’s special permission to join the group and shows them his “permit” scroll. Shining seizes the scroll from Cecil – I guess he’ll keep it somewhere safe. It seems that Reiji may have helped Cecil get the king’s permission too. Suddenly lights go off all around them and from somewhere, an announcement is made. The final groups for the Uta Pri award have been decided and it’s down to two - ST☆RISH and HEAVENS!

Episode 10 –

HEAVENS seems to be a pretty popular group. ST☆RISH really has their work cut out for them! Especially since HEAVENS is the favored group to win. But Shining has faith in his group. It seems that he and the creator of HEAVENS are old rivals and Shining suggests that both groups use the same composer – Haruka! Shining offers Haruka’s songs and Raging accepts the challenge. Raging also declares that if HEAVENS loses the award, they will be disbanded. Not to be outdone, Shining makes the same declaration, and the pressure is on!

When the rival groups meet, HEAVENS isn’t all that nice and are a bit overconfident that they will be the winners. But they are surprised to find that Haruka is the composer. Eiichi, the lead of HEAVENS, tells Haruka that she should be their composer and the guys really take offense at that. Eiichi just laughs and seems to think that Haruka will be his prize once ST☆RISH is disbanded. The nerve! But now ST☆RISH has another incentive to win. Haruka is feeling the pressure as well, but I have every confidence in both her and the boys. Of course they will win!

Haruka is feeling the pressure. She needs to write a song that will not only win, but also beat one of her own. The boys know she’s working hard and just don’t know how to help her. Haruka finishes the song but something is lacking. It isn’t quite a winning number yet.

Tokiya makes Haruka take a much needed break and has her go to hear his song. The song was lovely and perhaps it will inspire Haruka. After his performance, Tokiya takes Haruka to a festival. It was a really nice date and the background music was so pretty. And Tokiya has found a way to blend Hayato with his true self. He wants to continue to sing Haruka’s songs and Haruka promises that she will write a winning song. She doesn’t want her boys to break up!

Haruka comes to a sudden realization and collapses. She put herself under so much pressure to write a winning song that she forgot she wanted her songs to make people happy. Haruka breaks into tears in Tokiya’s arms, thinking she’s a failure. Tokiya holds her close and calms her down. He love for her to rely on him more, and crying again, Haruka promises that she will. There was never a need for her to carry everything on her own anyway. Haruka lost sight of that as well.

On the way home, the rest of the guys meet them, singing a song that tells Haruka how they all feel about her. Such a lovefest! LOL But I think Haruka got the message. She promises to put everything she feels into the song she’s writing and the boys promise to sing it with happiness. A definite winning combination!

The boys invite Haruka to watch the fireworks with them, but they did not like the fact that Tokiya got a date with Haruka. It was funny when the others demanded details of what happened when Tokiya and Haruka spent all that time alone together. But once the fireworks begin, the bickering is forgotten. As they watch the show, Haruka once again hopes to put all her feelings into her song. Of course she will write a winner!

The song is completed and Haruka hands it over to the excited boys. They love it! Now for the lyrics! They are also shown their costumes for the performance and they like those as well. Everything will be just perfect for this show!

The older guys watch ST☆RISH practice, but Cecil is having problems following the choreography. He seems to be doing some sacred dance of Agnapolis that is for the muses. He isn’t doing it on purpose, but it is a habit of his and he can’t seem to stop. He explains that this is the only dance he can do and that is going to be a problem.

Syo begins to tutor him and it isn’t going very well. The seniors wonder how they will ever be ready for the competition in time and Ai is certain that they will lose. But Reiji is positive that “they can make the impossible possible” and he believes in them. He’d also like to do more group work with his friends, but they prefer to work alone. Perhaps that will change.

Knowing that the others believe in him, Cecil puts in some nighttime practice. The others were worried about him and come to check on him. They watch Cecil practice through the window and hope his hard work pays off. The performance is the following day and they all put themselves in the hands of fate.

It’s finally time for the competition and there sure is a lot of hype! Haruka bumps into HEAVENS on the stairs and they still think they will be the winners and that Haruka will be working for them. Creepy idiots! They try to get Haruka to go with them now, but Ranmaru comes to her rescue. Afterwards, he asks her what friends are and Haruka tells him that they “are people who feel each other’s passion up close”. Ranmaru remembers that Reiji had said something very similar to him. I believe that he has some thinking to do!

The show starts and HEAVENS takes the stage. Good song and good performance, but they won’t be able to outshine ST☆RISH! Even if they are favored to win and the audience loves them, I know ST☆RISH is going to put on an amazing performance! They will show HEAVENS how it’s done!

Episode 13 –

Haruka and the guys are amazed at the HEAVENS performance, but I have faith in my boys! LOL And those HEAVENS guys are just too overconfident and creepy. They think they’ve already won. Ha! And they are all ready to turn this battle into a solely HEAVENS concert. Unfortunately, they’ve pumped up the audience enough to agree with them. ST☆RISH is beginning to lose heart.

Haruka joins the boys backstage. HEAVENS even has the audacity to walk into the dressing room and try to take Haruka again. I really hate these narcissistic idiots! Syo rescues her this time and Haruka says that she will never stop composing for ST☆RISH. Eiichi insists that they are the better group and that she is better off with them. In a very strong voice that is unlike her, Haruka lets her feelings on the subject be known. She will stand by her ST☆RISH!

HEAVENS leaves the room finally and Haruka tells the guys that to her they are “all eternally twinkling stars”. She really wants to see ST☆RISH show up HEAVENS and the boys promise to do their best and make their fans happy. Suddenly, they hear the audience calling for ST☆RISH! That’s enough to boost their confidence!

And now for the performance of a lifetime! ST☆RISH takes the stage! Goose bumps! “Maji LOVE 2000%” is a fantastic song and I’m sure Shining got his “Happy Pulse”. LOL A loving glow spreads throughout the audience and comforts everyone with warmth and happiness. Even Raging feels it. It was a little funny and exaggerated to see the pulse cover the Earth and reach out into the universe. I hope there aren’t any aliens out there! LOL

Afterwards, everyone feels happy and even the boys were amazed by their own performance. Haruka has tears in her eyes and some of the audience hasn’t even recovered yet. The votes are being tallied, but Raging steps on to the stage and says it’s unnecessary, admitting defeat. However, the votes still tally and of course ST☆RISH wins the Uta Pri Award hands down as I knew they would. Was there ever any doubt? LOL

HEAVENS can’t believe that they’ve lost, but that’s what you get for being creeps. Still on the stage, Raging announces the breakup of HEAVENS. Good! The audience protests and ST☆RISH agrees. They love music and don’t want to deprive the HEAVENS fans. The boys ask Raging to reconsider. HEAVENS never would have been that nice if they had won. Shining makes a flashy arrival as usual and puts in his two cents. In the end HEAVENS is saved. Perhaps they will be a little more humble now. However, it looks like Raging still wants to best Shining someday.

The seniors decide to give their Quartet Night group a chance after being touched by such an amazing performance and seeing what the power of music can do. ST☆RISH makes a request to sing another song and they sing their original hit, “Maji LOVE 1000%”. Goose bumps again! LOL They audience sings along with the song that started everything. The seniors sing along as well and Haruka says that they are only just beginning. She wants to create more music like this. The song continues as the credits roll. It was a wonderful way to end this delightful, feel good anime! My feet are tapping as I hum along and I am thoroughly satisfied! It’s going to be hard to come back to reality right now! LOL
