I’m just glad that Log Horizon and Strike the Blood look to be 24+ episodes because to me, Winter 2014 seems to be a big meh as far as new shows are concerned…
I’m hoping for some good stuff in Winter as I’m still pretty low over how Samurai Flamenco trolled me. I hope Log Horizon does well enough for Sentai to dub it, though I probably won’t watch anymore until it does. It’s a show that reaches its goals, it just didn’t set the bar very high (I feel bad about this as I saw all of SAO, a show IMO worse, but that was mostly because watching SAO was a non-optional fandom requirement).
I’d expect Aniplex to get Buddy Complex, unless they feel they don’t want it to compete with Valvrave, being the same genre and all.
The new sailor Moon Anime will either be licensed right away or not licensed at all (Conmparing it to Yamato: 2199) Toei may ask too much for it.
Expect Sentai to get the sequel to Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions as the only guaranteed Sentai grab and expect Funimation to get the Maken-Ki new season, and they already have Space dandy.
2014 Winter Simulcasts – Maken-Ki! Two Joins the Line-up
The simulcast announcements continue! Today we’re announcing that “Maken-Ki! Two” will be joining our line-up! Click here to read our previous announcement.
synopsis:
The students of Tenbi Academy are back for round two! What trouble will Takeru get himself into for season 2? You’ll just have to watch to find out!
As a lovely after Christmas treat, here’s another simulcast announcement! “Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha” will be joining our winter line-up. Click here to see our previous announcements.
synopsis:
Inari is a cheerful girl with a crush on the coolest guy in school, but she can’t seem to confess her feelings to him. When a goddess blesses her with the ability to shapeshift—much to the chagrin to the spiritual world—can love bloom for the young girl?
We’ve got one more to reveal. Keep an eye on the blog and on our social sites (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr) for the latest info!
Ok. Just thought it would be better to list the CR streams as well since there are usually a few shows that they pick up that Funimation, Sentai and Aniplex Don’t.
Mushi-shi is getting more anime content? When did this happen?
…it looks like Crunchy missed it too as its page, to which this thread has a link, is devoid of information (and doesn’t show up in the “winter 2014” list of shows at this time).
This is something that I might just have to watch subbed. I really do prefer to wait (I still don’t know how y’all watch some of these shows subbed) until I can choose between both but it’s just too tempting. Funimation also hasn’t announced that they have it yet.
