I’m just glad that Log Horizon and Strike the Blood look to be 24+ episodes because to me, Winter 2014 seems to be a big meh as far as new shows are concerned…

I’m hoping for some good stuff in Winter as I’m still pretty low over how Samurai Flamenco trolled me. I hope Log Horizon does well enough for Sentai to dub it, though I probably won’t watch anymore until it does. It’s a show that reaches its goals, it just didn’t set the bar very high (I feel bad about this as I saw all of SAO, a show IMO worse, but that was mostly because watching SAO was a non-optional fandom requirement).

I’ll think i’ll add these two charts to help us guess which will be the new Sentai shows.
Let the guesiing begin…

I’d expect Aniplex to get Buddy Complex, unless they feel they don’t want it to compete with Valvrave, being the same genre and all.

The new sailor Moon Anime will either be licensed right away or not licensed at all (Conmparing it to Yamato: 2199) Toei may ask too much for it.

Expect Sentai to get the sequel to Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions as the only guaranteed Sentai grab and expect Funimation to get the Maken-Ki new season, and they already have Space dandy.

What will Sentai grab?

Pupipou!
Pupa
Wizards Barristers
Chuuni 2
Nobunaga the Fool

Wake Up Girls…?

According to Funimation’s blog on their website, they have 3 more titles to announce for Winter 2014 simulcasts…
2014 Winter Simulcasts – Maken-Ki! Two Joins the Line-up

The simulcast announcements continue! Today we’re announcing that “Maken-Ki! Two” will be joining our line-up! Click here to read our previous announcement.

synopsis:

The students of Tenbi Academy are back for round two! What trouble will Takeru get himself into for season 2? You’ll just have to watch to find out!
Wow, Maken-Ki has already sold well enough to convince Funi to pull the trigger on the next installment? It just came out state-side.

I still haven’t seen season one. Unlike even Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, the trailer didn’t really compel me.

2014 Winter Simulcasts – Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha Joins the Line-up

As a lovely after Christmas treat, here’s another simulcast announcement! “Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha” will be joining our winter line-up. Click here to see our previous announcements.

synopsis:

Inari is a cheerful girl with a crush on the coolest guy in school, but she can’t seem to confess her feelings to him. When a goddess blesses her with the ability to shapeshift—much to the chagrin to the spiritual world—can love bloom for the young girl?

We’ve got one more to reveal. Keep an eye on the blog and on our social sites (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr) for the latest info!

If you’re going to add the CR streams as well, you might as well add the first three too.

Ok. Just thought it would be better to list the CR streams as well since there are usually a few shows that they pick up that Funimation, Sentai and Aniplex Don’t.

I just had a thought…

You might want to add the CR lineup page to the CR part, just to simplify things.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/lineup

Mushi-shi is getting more anime content? When did this happen?

…it looks like Crunchy missed it too as its page, to which this thread has a link, is devoid of information (and doesn’t show up in the “winter 2014” list of shows at this time).

It doesn’t go up until Jan. 4th.
And it’s down near the bottom on the Lineup page, in the New Simulcast Titles section.

Ah, I see. It is on http://www.crunchyroll.com/lineup but not yet on http://www.crunchyroll.com/videos/anime/seasons/winter-2014.

This is something that I might just have to watch subbed. I really do prefer to wait (I still don’t know how y’all watch some of these shows subbed) until I can choose between both but it’s just too tempting. Funimation also hasn’t announced that they have it yet.

Added Hamatora to Crunchyroll Streams

Added the shows licensed last quarter and continuing into this one

Sentai announced that they are going to make some licensing announcements…
