Plot Summary: Kōsei Arima was a piano prodigy until his mother died when he was eleven years old. The shock of losing her made him lose any interest in piano, and his life has felt monotonous ever since. Then, when he’s fourteen, his childhood friend Tsubaki introduces him to her classmate Kaori, a free-spirited violinist. Her enthusiasm reignites his interest in music and in life.

Naoshi Arakawa’s original manga is now scheduled end in the next issue of Monthly Shonen Magazine, on sale February 6th.
This is one of those shows that stays with you for a while. The story was wonderful and the music was beautiful.

However, the story was a bit on the tragic / inspirational side and I think I must have gone through an entire box of tissues.
It also amused me to see some of the comments on other sites that mentioned “Clannad” - especially the fact that Kaori was the dying daughter of a baker.
