Akame ga KILL!

What’s interesting is that Sentai finally did a Funimation style Opening / Closer for AkG

(Basically used the Clean Opening and Closr and did the entire opening closer with English Text)

Good first ep.
Allison’s Lushy Leone is great.

Aww, poor Katara and Sokka; remember kids “Stranger danger”
well, they finally had a reason to

of course, after the show ended I went back to finish my backlog of Star Vs. The Forces of Evil.

I thought the Toonami Staff did it. But if it was Sentai, then I’m impressed with the style of not only the font but the negative coloring box for the text affecting the opening. Gives AOT’s a run for their money.

.@ToonamiNews Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!

Already posted in the No Game, No Life thread.

wonder if the actual release will include the “Toonami” OP/ED as part of the episodes or will they do as normal and have the original Japanese OP/ED with the Toonami versions as extras?

Akame ga Kill! Premiere Night Wrap Up

Hey guys! So, we had a little premiere party at Dave & Busters for the big Akame ga Kill! premiere this past Saturday on Toonami.

We had tons of fun, the food was ready, drinks were flowing, and our voice actors were licking/eating/sleeping on their awesome new Night Raid shirts. (David Wald aka Bulat, Corey Hartzog aka Tatsumi, and Molly Searcy aka Akame were great!)

Not sure what happened there.

Best of all, though, we were together having a great time, posting up a storm about Akame ga Kill! on our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr pages. Thanks for joining us on social guys!

All in all, the premiere was a great success, but we couldn’t have done it without every single person in this room. Big shoutouts to our awesome production staff, QC’ers, voice actors and everyone else involved in making Akame ga Kill! as awesome as possible!

And HEY! We trended on Twitter in the US AND WORLDWIDE, how awesome is that?! Big thanks to the Toonami Faithful, you guys rock!

And now for a big surprise! If you weren’t able to watch the first episode of Akame ga Kill! on Toonami, you can now get it on Amazon. New episodes will be available one day after broadcast on Mondays, so make sure to keep up with everyone else! Enjoy!

SEE YOU GUYS NEXT WEEK FOR EPISODE 2!

I’ve been wondering that myself.
It’d be nice to have English OP/EDs again, something I’ve been missing since Sentai started releasing discs.

Something tells me they’ll be looking at more Sentai Filmworks titles for the block. I wonder if even Toonami expected this.

Well remember as far as Anime shows go, Toonami / Adult Swim go for the Shounen Action Shows, and Akame ga Kill and Parasyte, to an extent, fills their criteria.

Hard pressed to think what other titles , besides Big O (which has shown on the Block when ADV was the licensee) which would be appropriate for Toonami from Sentai’s catalog.
nah…I think they have a good bunch of shows that can work on Toonami:
Canaan
BTOOM!
Persona 4
Devil Survivor 2
Needless
Medaka Box
Ushio & Tora
Book of Bantorra

And if Toonami wanted to be more than an “action block” but still related, there are still more.
But that’s up to Toonami…

It’s a great start anyway. We’ll see what happens.
