The official website for the Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- anime project today updated with a main visual featuring Rie Kugimiya-voiced mental model Musashi, the protagonist Gunzo Chihaya’s father Shozo, and the five mental models of the student council of fog, for the upcoming all-new film Cadenza. It has also posted its theater list for the October 3 release, and the second edition of its advance tickets with a smartphone stand will be available at the 59 theaters from July 4.

The compilation film of the 12 episodes TV anime series, Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- DC, opened in Japan on January 31, 2015, and became an unexpected box-office hit. Its DVD/Blu-ray is set to be released on July 3.

Official cosplay contest has just started today

Following the first one released back in January, the official website for the Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- anime project today posted a 50-second new teaser for the upcoming all-new film Cadenza featuring the protagonist Gunzou’s father Shouzou Chihaya and the five mental models of the student council of fog. In the video Shouzou declares, “This is a summons to surrender to the human race.” The film will open in Japan on October 3, and the second edition of its advance tickets with a smartphone stand will be available at the 59 theaters from tomorrow, July 4.

The site also announced that, in cooperation with World Cosplay, a cosplay contest of the Arpeggio of Blue Steel characters, titled “Cosplay Student Council General Election,” will be held from July 3 to September 24. The Grand Prix winner will be named as the franchise’s official “Cosplay Student Council President.” You will be able to check the photos of the cosplayers here soon, or can join the contest now by posting your cospaly photo with #ArpeggioCosplay.

Just a heads up, just got a cancellation notice from Right Stuf for the DVD set. Discotek is delaying the release until next year. (Hopefully we’ll get Blu-ray)
