Plot Summary: Humans live in the world of Assiah, demons in Gehenna. The two dimensions are not meant to interfere with each other, but demons still possess creatures in Assiah in spite of this. The humans who can fight these demons are known as exorcists. Rin Okumura is a boy who bears the curse of being Satan’s illegitimate son. His foster father sacrificed himself to save him from demons. To avenge his foster father’s death as well as to prove himself, Rin decides to follow the path of an exorcist.

Then someone steals the Left Eye of the Impure King that had been sealed away in the deepest part of the academy. Rin and the others find themselves in an unexpected crisis.

Not that long ago, wasn’t Aniplex holding the position of “dubs? we don’t need no stinkin’ dubs for shows like blue exorcist!”? I guess they’re learning. Maybe, someday, they’ll learn from Geneon that New Generation is the CA studio to hire, followed by Sinterniklaas’ and Sherman’s (and that studiopolis doesn’t exist)…

Ah, another hilarious anime trailer with the imitation of the famous “In a world…” voice over.

The dub itself doesn’t sound as lame as I was thinking that it would but it doesn’t seem as good either. This is one of those shows that I believe would have been far better with someone like Foster directing the dub. That line in the trailer about “my fist” begged for a G-Gundam style reading.
