Q. Do you have a general release date for Beyond the Boundary and/or K-On season 1. Both have been licensed for quite awhile but haven’t had a proper update yet
A. We have a general release date set for BtB, yes. Unfortunately we aren’t ready to announce it just yet. We’ve already released K-ON! Season 1 on DVD, and hopefully a Blu-ray release should be coming soon.

21st single “Aitakatta Sora” hits stores April 22

Lantis has posted a four-minute preview video for the three songs from voice actress/singer Minori Chihara’s upcoming 21st single “Aitakatta Sora” (The Sky I’ve Wanted to See) on its official YouTube channel. The title song is featured as the theme song for Beyond the Boundary the Movie: The Future, the all-new second part of the two-part Kyoukai no Kanata/Beyond the Boundary films. The third song in the video, “Pierrot” whose lyrics is written by herself, is included only in the artist edition. The two-edition CD singles will be released on April 22.
The all-new second film Beyond the Boundary the Movie: The Future will open in Japan on April 25.

Beyond the Boundary Film’s Theme Song’s Full Music Video Streamed

The full theme song for the Gekijō-ban Kyōkai no Kanata -I’ll Be Here- Mirai-hen film sequel to Kyoto Animation’s Beyond the Boundary supernatural anime series began streaming on Tuesday. Minori Chihara, who voices Mitsuki Nase, returns to sing “Aitakatta Sora” (I Wanted to Meet the Sky).
The television anime premiered in Japan in 2013, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime into several countries as it aired. Sentai Filmworks also announced that it licensed the anime for North America.
Minori Chihara is also voicing Yuki Nagato in The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan and Kaori Nakaseko in Sound! Euphonium.
The Gekijō-ban Kyōkai no Kanata -I’ll Be Here- Mirai-hen film will open in Japan on Saturday.

Q. Hey there, question! I noticed you guys got the rights to Beyond the Boundary back in 2013, and said a home video release would come. Any updates to give on that? (Also recently bought Kokoro Connect. Loving it so far! )
A. A home video release will be coming in the very very near future, and it will also include a limited Collector’s Edition! Keep an eye out for more news on that front soon.
Has Sentai ever added shows to an already-announced release slate? As it stands, this show (and the others in Sentai’s Purgatory) can’t come out until the fall, which I’d say isn’t “very very near future”.
