Yeah all of the Turner Networks were merged in to Time Warner back in the 90’s . When AT&T bought Warner they got CNN and all of those former Turner Networks to .
I never thought about who owned CNN before. I guess I assumed it wasn’t part of any of the big networks for some reason.
AT&T assumed a lot of debt when it acquired Time Warner, I wouldn’t be surprised to see CR (Because it’s profitable) to be sold off to someone.(It probably won’t be FUNimation / Sony, as that would create a near monopoly, unless they go back to the Sub / Dub Split when they were in partnership with each other.
Depending on how it goes, expect Sentai to start grabbing more shows possibly because of this.
