I’ve been somewhat disappointed in a certain subgenre of anime recently. Sci-fi stories, especially those made from video games or visual novels, have been particularly lackluster the last few seasons. I’m thinking of KADO-The Right Answer and “RErideD: Derrida, who leaps through time” as two prime examples. This season, Crunchyroll is simulcasting a time-travel sci-fi series that is a remake of a 1996 adult visual novel adventure game! While I have a bad feeling about this, Chewey, it’s like watching the Big One at a NSACAR superspeedway–you can’t look away!
