You can, Mystic-give your picks away at any time. It’s Rule #7:

7.) Your characters are yours to do with (almost) whatever you want. If you want to give a character of yours to someone else and take a replacement claim or trade a character of yours for a character someone else has, that is OK. You may only do one of the two options and may do only one gift/trade per player per round. Any character to be traded or gifted must have been in the giver’s possession for at least one round (I.E, a round 142 pick cannot be traded until round 143.) However, you cannot give an unclaimed character to another or release a character unless it is part of a special round and it is in the rules for that round.

I gifted a few when I withdrew from the game due to not having enough time to play because of school. Once school was over I came back and rejoined the game.

That inactive rule is the only reason I’m not joining this game. I just don’t see characters enough to brother. (Then there’s the fact the ones I want might already be claimed)

I don’t particularly like the rule, but I know it’s sort of a necessary rule. Besides, when it’s actually being enforced, players are given 12 rounds total to claim a character. That’s 12 weeks, which is quite a bit of time.
