The new opening song is stunningly bad. It is extremely laid back, low-key and boring. It also features the vocals prominently in the mix and the singer isn’t, how should I put this, quite ready for prime time.
What were the Japanese thinking?

Ange, Tusk, and Vivian get catapulted 500 years into the future after evading embryo’s blast, it’s more likely a parallel Earth You learn a bit of the history, Ange gets bitchy, apologizes, and Tusk gets cockblocked at the end there. Finally more Dragon Princess next episode
Episode 14 was interesting. Reminded me a bit more of RahXephon.
Ange is surprisingly self-aware, listing all of her faults. Does that make her “genre savvy”?
So can Tusk and Ange actually understand what Vivian, in her DRAGON form, says?
BTW, in the new intro are they showing the commander with 2 arms?

Here’s hoping that when Sentai dubs this, they infuse Tusk with some testosterone and make him respectable instead of a feckless, obsequious wimpy sadsack. It’s rather difficult to believe that he’s a dedicated freedom fighter and bona fide badass when, in every scene he’s in with a female character, he’s the total opposite.

Chris (Whose life was saved by Embryo), and Ersha (With the little girl being saved by Embryo) , I can at least justify their siding up with him, because they don’t know better, but Salia, who should know better sides up with him because she gets a Villikiss of her own and a position of power? Sorry girl you need to be bitch-slapped into next week.
I like the fact that, unlike everyone else in the show who are trying to force Ange to take sides in their conflicts, Salimandinay allows Ange to leave without forcing her to choose , and was the major reason why Ange stayed to protect the other Earth’s forces retreat after the ambush.
