Death Note Live Action Movie & Musical

I hope they cut everything out post-L’s death. I hated that part of the series.
LOL you’ve made that abundantly clear.

Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Ian_Cox

That’s how much I hated it. I hate it more every time I think of this series.

Hmm, that’s now where the article on Inuyasha lead me…
Who was he in sg1? Apparently wikipedia doesn’t have an article on him. I can’t put names to faces either when it comes to voice acting, it’s usually an after thought for me, unless I think someone’s voice was exceptionally well placed for a character.
I know Pretear answered this, but here’s more info on the Episode he was in…
“New Grounds” - Richard Ian Cox (Inuyasha) played Nyan

If this ever gets produced and Efron does get the part, I wonder what his fangirls will think of him portraying a character like Light…?
I’m not a fan of his, but some girls like a bad boy image. ;)
Lol yeah. x_x

My only concern is that the movie will lead to more kids creating Death Notes, giving anime/manga fans a bad name. Not that we are viewed highly or anything. =/

Or will bring DeathNote into the mainstream to the point that people know to put their arguments into context. Not just assume the kids (like when a middle school kid writes names down and how they die) are planning something automatically.

I don’t know, this movie will probably fall under the same categorie as movies such as The Ring and that one movie… can’t remember, based off of Ju-on and had Sarah Michelle Geller in it. The Grudge… So it’ll probably get it’s fair share of spot light.

No, I couldn’t go back and erase my entire thought process and just put down The Grudge.

If they get Efron to play Light does that mean Miley Cyrus will play Misa.

Oh Good God! Bite your tongue!

Nah, I think that’s only if they sign the Jonas Brothers on…

Ya know…

It could work.

You know, Misa is a ditzy idol, it actually wouldn’t be that bad of casting, seriously people, Death Note and because Death Note works, Code Geass, could be done by teen idols and it wouldn’t ruin it.

I see Hayden Panettiere as Misa.

I would totally watch that movie if she were in it… -just recently watched heroes for basically the first time-

Heroes is great isn’t it?

with school shootings like Columbine and such, why in the hell would WB want to put vengeance as a motive? just to further the problem Death Note has had and confusion of the fiction form reality that is the problem? of and removing the fiction death gods too?

does Hollywood know how to separate fiction form reality, or just trying to further promote the dilution of them to case more suicides, murders, etc. based on stupid crap form people that cannot handle it and bring back the Jack Chick era?

good for Black for reigning in a stupid studio. hopefully other directors and screenwriters will be able to do the same and remind studios what they are there for. the studio is NOT the creator, just the producer and distributor…leave creative control in the hands of people that CAN create things and let studios be the accountants and distributors they always were.

kudos to Black. (i don’t even really like Death Note that much as a story…but so tired of seeing anything screwed up because someone wants to come along and add needless changes*.)

*not that kind of Needless…but rather things that need not be done.
