It’s a big day here at MediaOCD.
First and foremost, the incredible Romeo’s Blue Skies is officially up for pre-order. The first of the legendary World Masterpiece Theater series from Nippon Animation to be officially released uncut in North America, this heart-rending classic is absolutely not to be missed. Get your orders in now, it ships on June 10.
Monday, we launch our new interview podcast, The Anime Business, a monthly sit-down with the people that made anime a thing in the English speaking world. The first episode will post at 9am EST. It’s the first part of a long sit-down with John O’Donnell, the one time Managing Director of the leader of the early VHS anime publishers, Central Park Media.
AND FINALLY: People have been asking for months how they can contribute to what we’re doing. The new interview podcast, specifically, is expensive and doesn’t make money. So, we’re launching a special supporter section of the site. Think of it like other fan support sites, except it interfaces directly with our blog and our new video section. Members get bonus sections of our interviews from The Anime Business, monthly fireside chats with MediaOCD staff, and soon, much much more.
Our Members’ Section is still very much a work in progress, but we’re dying to hear from you.
