HIDIVE Casts “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story”
HOUSTON, TX – December 19, 2019 – HIDIVE announced today that it acquired streaming rights to Puella Magi Madoka Magica spinoff Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story from studio SHAFT (Natsu no Arashi!), for audiences in the United States and Canada. The series premieres on HIDIVE beginning Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 16:30 UTC with new episodes following on Saturdays at the same time.
A dream of an unknown girl beckons Iroha Tamaki to Kamihama City, a mysterious place where Magical Girls gather and Witches of unimaginable strength proliferate. A new power drawn from evil Witches is on the rise, and as the mysteries of Kamihama begin to come to light, Iroha is sure of one thing only: understanding the secrets of Kamihama is the key to unlocking the identity of the enigmatic — and inexplicably familiar — girl in her dreams.
Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story is based upon the smartphone RPG of the same name from Aniplex. It stars Momo Asakura (O Maidens in Your Savage Season) as Iroha Tamaki, Sora Amamiya (Akame ga Kill!) as Yachiyo Nanami, Shiina Natsukawa (Interviews With Monster Girls) as Tsuruno Yui, Ayane Sakura (Is the Order a Rabbit?) as Felicia Mitsuki, Yui Ogura (Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat) as Sana Futaba, Mikako Komatsu (Gourmet Girl Graffiti) as Momoko Togame, Ayaka Ohashi (FLIP FLAPPERS) as Kaede Akino and Kaori Ishihara (Gatchaman Crowds Insight) as Rena Minami.
