WHISPER ME A LOVE SONG FOR THE UNINITIATED

Synopsis: After performing a song at her school’s opening ceremony, musician Yori Asanagi receives an apparent love confession from freshman Himari Kino. But just as Yori decides she wants to return Himari’s feelings, Himari reveals that she did not “love” her, but “admires” her! But you can’t unring a bell once struck, and Yori is determined to make Himari fall for her, not just her music. Will their hearts ever beat as one, or will their love fall out of tune?

HIDIVE UNSHEATHES “I PARRY EVERYTHING!” FOR BATTLE THIS SUMMER

HOUSTON, TX — May 16, 2024 — Shonen fans can look forward to a summer of sword fights starting this July. AMC Networks’ anime streaming service HIDIVE announced today that the new fantasy action adventure series I Parry Everything! (full title: I Parry Everything to Become the Greatest Adventure!) will stream exclusively as part of its Summer 2024 simulcast season. Based on the popular novels written by Nabeshiki, I Parry Everything! is the newest title in the slate of anime TV series acquired as part of Sentai Filmworks’ (Sentai) multi-year agreement with Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) revealed in March 2023. Ahead of the series’ July premiere, HIDIVE will host the North American premiere of I Parry Everything! Episodes 1 & 2 on July 4 at Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles, Calif.

“We’re thrilled to offer fans MBS’ new series I Parry Everything! as an exclusive simulcast series this summer,” said John Ledford, President of HIDIVE. “This exciting fantasy action adventure series follows on the heels of My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered, the Winter 2024 hit series and most recent title acquired as part of Sentai’s multi-year agreement with MBS. The Kingdom of Clays faces a dire crisis: an assassination attempt has just been made on its own Princess Lynneburg, and now its neighboring countries eye the aftermath like starving vultures, plotting the Kingdom’s downfall. The ensuing conflict will shape the face of the continent for centuries to come…but Noor doesn’t have a clue about any of that! Having freshly arrived at the royal capital after over a decade of rigorous, isolated training at his mountain home, he’s dead set on achieving his childhood dream of becoming an adventurer, even if the only skills he possesses are useless ones. Sure, Noor can “parry” thousands of swords in the span of a single breath, but everybody knows you need more than that if you want to be an adventurer! Our hero’s road to making his dream come true will be long(?) and arduous(?)—but if there’s one thing Noor’s not afraid of, it’s some good ol’ fashioned hard work!

I Parry Everything! is adapted from the currently eight-volume-long Earth Star Novel series written by Nabeshiki and illustrated by Kawaguchi, which is based on the original 2019 web novel acquired by Earth Star Entertainment Separately, a manga series also written by Nabeshiki but illustrated by KRSG is published in Comic Earth Star. Both the light novel and manga series are available in English from J-Novel Club.

“PLUS-SIZED ELF” BRINGS EXTRA-LARGE LAUGHS TO HIDIVE THIS SUMMER

HOUSTON, TX — May 20, 2024 — Fans are in for an oversized summer of laughs with today’s announcement that AMC Network’s HIDIVE will stream the new comedy series Plus-Sized Elf as an exclusive simulcast during the anime streaming service’s Summer 2024 season. Premiering in July, Plus-Sized Elf is based on the pair of popular seinen manga titles created by Synecdoche.

“We’re excited to present the new series Plus-Sized Elf as part of our exclusive line-up of simulcasts this summer,” said John Ledford, President of HIDIVE. “Without a doubt, fans can expect some extra-large laughs from what is sure to be a larger-than-life comedy. Get ready some fun!”

Naoe-kun, a massage therapist, is about to head home for the day when he’s saddled with a rather strange patient. This lovely lady has emerald eyes, pointy ears, and grew up in the forest—everything about her screams “elf,” except for one thing: her bodacious body. It turns out she left her world but loves junk food in this one, and now her obsession has caught up with her. Can Naoe-kun help this loveable elf girl lose the weight—and keep it off?

Plus-Sized Elf is adapted from the original eight-volume-long (Plus-Sized Elf) and currently three-volume-long (Plus-Sized Elf: Second Helping!) manga titles created by Synecdoche which launched in December 2016 and October 2021, respectively. The current title is published in Dokodemo Young Champion by Akita Shoten. The English language versions of both titles are published by Seven Seas Entertainment. Plus-Sized Elf is directed by Toshikatsu Tokoro together with writing by Yuki Takabayashi and production by Elias.
