Anime Strike to simulcast series in U.S.
Hitorijime My Hero, Ep 1, is live at Anime Strike
The first episode was okay, nothing spectacular. I do like some of the characters, and I’m eager to learn a bit more of their back stories. However, the flashbacks in the show are handled poorly and feel a little disjointed.
I’ll definitely give it a few more episodes though.
Hitorijime My Hero, Ep 2, is live at Anime Strike
The second episode fixed some of the issues from the first. Most importantly, the flash backs are handled more concisely. There is a larger age gap, so it’s easy to tell when and where the events are occurring.
I was a little uncertain about this one, but the improvements in the second episode will keep me watching for a bit. I hope it at least stays at the second episodes level. However, I find it amusing that so many BL anime won’t really show the characters kissing. “We have to zoom out, or show hands pressing against the wall!”
