I’m not surprised. VOD seems redundant in the era of streaming. I hope they use this as an impetus to rename these forums rather than kill them.

I’m really not liking how they said nothing about the forums.

I would say since the forums are the only thing left that’s what this announcement is in regards to. They closed the other thread where they announced towards the end of 2024 they’d keep the site open another year so I’d imagine them’s the brakes.

I would like these forums just to be integrated with HIDIVE.

OWD, you’re forgetting the VOD service that is still active for some cable and satellite companies.

Oh okay. I don’t use it so I didn’t realize it was still around, I had assumed everything was switched over to Hidive.

R.I.P.
When I switched to HD in 2014 saw an Anime based OnDemand, I fell in loved with it. Became my go to for content without the use of Crunchyroll. I will miss scrolling through the pages and seeing the cover art for a random anime and decide if I want to watch it. It’s how I came to love AURA and all of these other animes Sentai had presented.
The first four when I watched Anime Network for the first time back in 2014 was Sakura Trick, Engaged to the Unidentified, Non Non Biyori, and Wizard Barristers
